Summer

Summer

Today we got a glimpse of summer,
old man winter, what a bummer.

Blue sky's, singing birds, oh so lovely,
bees buzzing, buds a budding, oh what glee.

Summer's calling, summer's calling, winter's waning.
Rays of glimmer, rays of hope, rays of singing.

Upward, upward little shoots, awakening faces,
reaching higher, ever higher smiling faces.

Summers calling, summers calling, show your splendor!

Nice use of imagery and alliteration. You have me smiling with this one. Thank you for the day brightener and for your kind words on my poem. Keep on writing!! Karen
