Wild Ocean Park
In the dark of night
The sea is black
The only light
From the lighthouse stack
All the sea’s creatures
Below the water line
The life on the beaches
Where the sand is so fine
Live as one being
Encompassed by dark
One eye all seeing
Wild ocean park.

My Assignments
If you cannot build a fence, help with a section.
If you cannot build a wall, install the Northgate.
If you can't build a house, try painting the kitchen.
If you can't install a water line, turn on the faucet.
We need not worry about the things that we cannot do.
We are responsible for executing our God-given assignments.

Mesmeric Morn
Blazing blob rises with the scenic sun,
rolls radiant up over ocean’s water line,
dimly dark with night’s fading footprint,
sky on hued horizon turns to tapestry
paints pristine chromatic collage,
long leaves’ silhouette frames idyll image,
mesmeric morn brings a new charming day.

Duckweed Crown
~We used to stalk frogs together..
I'd tell her that in every pond
there was a frog king
who wears a duckweed crown..
Every time we spotted one
she'd whisper
"daddy is that the king
with the duckweed crown?"
and every time I'd whisper yes.
She's all grown up now..
a little lost (like most)
hopping amidst frosted lily pads
one heartbeat above the water line..
a thinning soul dodging teeth
still searching for a frog king
with a emerald crown~...
