Dues Already Paided

i walk the line
so life could shine
kept this in mine
and don't be blind
read the signs
the pass don't faded
but the
dues or
ALREADY PAIDED

Bridge of Freedom

I see the bridge to freedom pine,
it longs to see me cross it's twine.
It's knotted roots, it's timber spine,
urging me to walk the line.

Looking Back

The past is a foreign homeland,
 familiar yet strange

Where memories limits walk the line,
and crossed—exceed our range

Moderation

Walk the line
All the time
Don’t do bad
Or be too glad

For moderation is needed
And your appetite not exceeded
These are the rules to live by
Go ahead and try.

Blurred Line's Crossing

Walk the Line
Draw a line under it
On a Charity Fun Run
As penance
For crossing the line's
So Many Time's
You stopped counting
How many pairs of shoes it took
To look before crossing
Dangerous Paths

Walk Over The Line

Here's to the one's
Who play the part
With a smiling face
But an aching heart

Who ride the wave
But all the while
They hide the pain
Behind a smile

This is to those
Who face the rain
When the tide is high
The days are gray

Who walk the line
To pave the way
To a better life
And brighter day.

I Swear To Lie

I swear to lie.

To you I’ll make no promises
And I swear I will tell no lie.
As I place my hand on Gideon’s Bible,
I still fake truly showing you what I hold inside.

For you I’ll wear no wedding ring
And for you I’ll walk the line;
But for you I will never go missing,
Because I would find you every time.

Balance & Transformation

Bearer of this violation,
You raped these words from me
Throughout this simple declaration
I have surrendered,
Faithfully
I kneel before you & ask nothing
You were
A mystery to me
You were
Simplicity to me
Still you walk the line between
& I begin to think
You might let me see you falter
Cannot help but think of you
Of every promise kept
& every word proved true

I Walk the Line

full of emotion, i come barreling sea,to set course, pass wave, releasing its inner- path you have stolid upon me, a daring catch, that eludes dramatically, revealed hunger, to its devouring taste, I bare touch, of loves true limitations, to share my life, with every breath, you breath beyond the waking hour, because I walk the line, that lead me to you, your heart, I love, forever....

The Time Between the Seasons For Contest

Blank space, white noise
Miles of useless matter
Hours, days, and years
Filled with futile chatter

Boxed memories
Disregarded
Neglected roots
Where you started

‘‘Twas familiar
Some moons ago
Where you once dwelled
Yet failed to grow

Just fillers of space
And thieves of time
That were required
To walk the line

Before and after
The in between
Season fracture
Remains unseen

Balance Beam

There it is
Hard steel
Lined in felt
Walk the line
Toe to heel
Cards dealt
...hmm

Movement limited
Agility required
Success after failure
Repetition inspired
...hmpf

Music added
Flowing vibration
Fear dissipated
Leaping without hesitation
...triUMPH

Flooring preferred
Elevation elation
Not required
No name
No fame
Heart fired

Fear

Fear
Breathing down the necks of men
Holding them captive in the cage of monotony
Never freeing
Until one learns to release the chains that bind them

Fear
Trapping those without courage
Safe Jobs
Safe Lives
Never taking a risk
Until one flees the safety of the known and learns to truly live

Fear
Paralysing
Crippling
Controlling your every action
Walk the line without a fear of falling

Three Poems

Freedom Usurped!

Homeward Bound,
  northbound;
A red car with four doors,
the red horse of the apocalypse;
suddenly, suffocated, gasping
  air thick with fumes;

Soon, freedom through death!

Struggling for a breath,
  unbearable pain in chest;
Open the window!

Freedom Usurped!

Police pursuit,
  stop the car!
I just can't walk the line!
Cited!
  for driving
    while
      DEAD!

When a stranger calls,
the shining
city lights
die hard
behind enemy lines.

I walk the line
out of the past
roots,
where the red fern grows
in cold blood
of mice and men.

The thin red line
short cuts
a nightmare on Elm Street.
The searchers
don't look now
within these walls.

In the heat of the night,
the illusionist
cast away
titanic
cries and whispers.

The silence of the lambs
never cry wolf
while you were sleeping.
