There is a duck in the park
Called Billy
He is very, very silly
He bobs about and quacks
And Laughs
Then floats upside down
Completely daft.
William 'Willem' Dafoe
Can hopefully craft a Minecraft hoe
You might as well should call him 'Billy'
The way his humorous stances are oh so very silly.
Their once was a fellow named Willy
Who would sometimes act very silly
He would smoke pot too much
Drink beer, whiskey and such
Made him run around willy-nilly
Once there was a miss by name Lilly,
Imitates to make others appear silly.
Pent-up feeling unleashed,
my pain of rejection eased.
Bloody Lilly, no good grief. Very very silly!
UNSUPPORTED CODE
There once was a girl named Lilly
she was very silly.
One day Lilly
met a boy named Willy
willy was very silly
too.
Willy and Lilly played with glue
UNSUPPORTED CODE
I was out a-wandering
when it flew into my head,
a very silly poem,
uninvited, be it said.
If I had just ignored it,
it might have gone away,
but for some mysterious reason
I wrote it down instead
There once was a football fan from Philly
Who was known for being very silly
During the Eagles Super Bowl win
He dipped his chicken wings in gin
And gulped down Bud Light, dilly dilly
Shopping for groceries, this sweet young filly
Bent over which made me act very silly
Accidentally bumped her behind
Which was quite well defined
Started stuttering and stammering involuntarily
Once a cat named Kitty
Was so very silly
Kitty played the fiddle
Kitty was so bitter
Felt angst
So Kitty settled
And learn to play the violoncello

I'm up before you,
I'm up after you,
Burning the midnight oil
As if I didn't toil.
Burning the wick
On both ends,
No wonder I'm
Always sick.
Roy's very silly
Always "willy-nilly"
Playing with no
Rhyme or reason.
He bull-dozes us
'Til we want to cuss,
Then they're both
Up at two,
So what do you do?

Hey, I am feeling
Yes feeling little
Grumpy bumpy
Bumpy-bumpy.
I am sounding
Silly very silly
In this heated
Valley sweated.
Timid horns
On my head
Blowing headlights
Grooming helmets.
This is weird
I am a humming bird
Sounding nasty grumpy
bumpy-bumpy-bumpy.

You Will Freeze That Way
By Elton Camp
Most kids like to make a funny face
But parents act like it’s a disgrace
And they may with seriousness say,
“Do that and you’ll freeze that way.”
I wonder how that ever got its start
And why any ever took it to heart
No matter when, where or even why
It’s very silly to keep telling that lie
If I was a pilot,
so I would fly in the sky.
If I was a tailor,
so I would not be shy.
That would be my passion,
and I would love it.
But if I was a teacher,
I would cry, cry and cry.
If I was an adult,
I would live happily.
But right now I am a child,
so I am very silly.
What ever I would be,
I would love it,
because that's a job,
and I would adore it.
No, dear reader, this is not an April Fool's prank piece. It's merely a bit of nonsense for this very silly day...
Alice asked Tweedledee,
"What is logic?"
Tweedle thought for a moment then said,
"Though I never before have considered the question,
Here's how it rolls 'round in my head"
A thing that is so just might well be,
If that isn't too abstrusely quaint,
But I really don't see
How a thing that can't be
Can be anything other than ain't".
Some people have the knack
To show up uninvited
And crawl beneath our skin
They enrage and irk us till
We want to strangle them
If only there were a way
To avoid their drama and theatrics
Some way to magically bypass
All those who so make our blood boil
A way to brush off and discard them
To keep our path of life
Pristine and clear
With nothing but inspirational
Loving graceful people
Just a very silly dream I have
AP: Honorable Mention 2020
I saw a dog, his head through the fence,
it was really very silly,
and it didn't make any sense,
dogs are funny.
I saw a dog lying on his tummy,
right next to him was a bunny.
I saw a dog try to climb a tree,
when I tried to stop him, he bit me.
dogs are funny.
All he wanted was the branch,
but it was no match,
I saw a dog chase his tail,
oh, oh he just tripped over a pail,
dogs are funny.
First poem I ever wrote June 5, 1990
Lonesome Kermit
Was a hermit,
Living on a mountain, in a cave.
It was really very silly--
Worlds away from Piccadilly--
How that lonely cavern dweller did behave.
He was always in a quandary,
With no one to do his laundry
And he never found the time to wash or shave.
There is really no excuse
For style of that recluse,
And the way the fellow used to rant and rave.
For the whole span of his life,
Kermit never took a wife,
Cause he couldn't lure a woman to his cave.
