The Rain
How funny this rain is
Wetting itself uselessly
In the sunshine....

Reality Itself
Uselessly frightened by a knife, skin was scared
to feel transcendent touch also in vain

Premium Member A Bare-Knuckle Fight
Politics has always been rough and tumble
  a bare-knuckle fight in a concrete jungle

Those who preach togetherness and unity
flail their arms at windmills uselessly...

Pain
One leaf curled and hunched
hesitatingly crawls up the centre
of the sun lit country road.
The rest cling to the tarmac
watching.

I look at this world as it is
and see what could be
and once again utter
words uselessly.
conscience
....... driven...

Not So Remote
a sestet

Looking for that place beyond his memory,
he scans time and space within the room's debris
waiving the embrace requiring energy.
Twisting in the settee, he finds it in his lap
clicking uselessly - alas! it has no zap
Lacking battery! how will he take his nap?...

Watch and Wait
Stillness seeds this cell
of death-borne illness,
underscores the needs
of one who cannot
function by himself.

Bedsheets icy white,
blooming flowers
in bright profusion
litter uselessly.

Monitors wink, blink
their indifference;
scant recognition,
little consolation for
a father and his
sorrow-stricken son....

Premium Member A Day In Life
Start the day
Fresh
With energy
With confidence
With hopes
With plans
With dreams
Full to the brim
So that you don't have any time
To grumble uselessly
To evaluate things too strictly
To compare greedily
Until you confuse yourself
About today, yesterday and tomorrow
And overlook today
Which should be the most important day...

Adrift
Adrift in this vast,
empty sea. Silent,
save for the beckoning call
of distant gulls,
your only friend. And
the makeshift mast and sail is
uselessly flaccid.

And beneath,
concealed
by the dangling sway,
of muddy-
moss-green ribbons of waving kelp,
is the dark murk
of unknown depths.

Then the wind
panics,
arousing your sail and
it swells into life
and draws you towards home....

Help [panick Attack]
im soffocating
swallowing air

please, someone help me
i cant breath

my heart isnt beating
im comming undone

please, someone help me
i cant breath

im shaking,
tears falling from my eyes

gasping, for a breath of life
about to lose it completly

please, god please someone help
i cant breath

hyperventaliating
panicking
losing controle

i think im going to be sick
i think im going to hurl

uselessly swallowing air...

Watch and Wait
Stillness seeds this cell
of death-borne illness,
underscores the needs of one
who cannot function by himself.
Bed sheets icy white, fading flowers
once bright, now lifeless,
litter uselessly.

A steady stream of visitors
will offer their support,
feeling helpless, hopeless,
as they fumble for the words
stuck in their throats.

Monitors wink,
blink their indifference;
scant recognition,
little consolation for a father
and his sorrow-stricken son....

Turnin, Burnin, Learnin, Discernin
The wheels of time keep turnin
The fires of life keep burnin.
Time’s a turnin, fire’s a burnin.
The hallowed halls of history
Waitin to spill their mystery,
From history to mystery,
The wise are always learnin.

You know the wise are learnin
History’s message they’re discernin.
If we can’t learn to discern, we may as well burn
All the written pages
Passed down through the ages.
The wheels of time are uselessly turnin.
