The regular cup of hot water
With visible cracked line
The usefulness is still fine
Preserve a tiny asset 'till it's over
Keen intelligent male

Comeuppance is a useful word
when confronted by a beggar nerd
Give him no more than tuppence
a fitting and proper comeuppance
Liberty is free.
Come together, freedom.
Light power, Radian god of Lightening.
Strike per se.
Go together, a usefulness, power to be.
Gragh, power to the gun.
Welcome to liberty, freedom.
Liberate the world.
Greed
To some, our giving
Is their taking
To some, our generosity
Is their indulgence
To some, our compassion
Is their entitlement
To some, our usefulness
Is their expectation
Our pain is their
Indifference
Our loss
Their fulfilment
Our truth
Their denial...
Let your words always be sincere
Not abrasive words bent to inflame or cause dissension;
Often, man spews forth words as heat seeking missiles,
Enlisting the tongue for their launching pad;
Forgo the rhetoric that has no usefulness
beyond invading the silence of my space;
Kleenexes
Clorox wipes
A roll of tape
Kitty cat eyes on a pink pencil box
red apple peeks out behind yellow thermos
hand sanitizer
unused pencil sharpener because I forgot I had one
three folders with lesson plans
a marked up notebook
laptop computer
stapler
my desk is on fire with usefulness today
Freezer burn is a luxury;
the very notion that food,
plentiful enough
to sit idly in storage
long enough
to become encased in crystal
casually tossed;
no longer within the range
of usefulness
A concept
so completely foreign to me,
unheard of until
as a preteen was mentioned
while visiting a friend.

Rapunzel’s feeling down, braids hanging.
Bells in her long hair, loudly clanging.
A prince longs to climb her bound tresses.
The ding-dong warns the witch, confesses.
The royal in youthful usefulness, in love,
Catches witch off guard, won’t use kid glove.
These days, Rapunzel’s more grounded,
Cut off braids, as wedding bells sounded.
O to be young, young gifted and black,
But, what of those that were not good in the sack?
Their usefulness was constantly under attack.
Some went to the fields, into the fields never came back.
Gut wrenching sounds from the mothers as they cry.
Mingled with the wails of babies sucking on breast dry.
Beautiful ebony skin, tarnished, the naked sun fry.
This was not God’s intent, so brother, why, why, why!
pristine sharp cornered brown box garnishes excitement
we rip him open with anticipation
new merchandise has been delivered!
this box is repurposed for sorting, carrying, hauling, storing
left out in the rain, the box looks sad and sorrowful
we could fold him flat and put him into our dumpster
Or we could burn him up
He has lost his usefulness
difficult to remember now what he brought in the first place
Father forgive me me for the things that I have done
In you the victory is won
Let me not drift into worry
Let not my life be a hurry
Neither diminish my usefulness to others
May I care for and love my brothers
Pack what I can into the stream of life
Rid myself of grief and strife
Better my ways
For brighter days
Father forgive me for the things I have done
In you the victory is won

It was to emphasize the importance of a human being
It was to show the usefulness of overcoming challenges
It was to embrace the healing process of a broken heart
It was to emphasize the occurrence of growth
A maturity of a soul,
It was to show my existence to the world
It was to acknowledge my uniqueness
It was to formulate my individualism
It was to produce an never-ending journey
An acceptance of maturity.
The bike you thought you wanted
Lies wasting in the yard
It now has weathered paint
And rusted handlebars
Briefly shown some favor
When it was brand new
Once thinking it unique
But changed your point of view
It never lost it's usefulness
It hardly stood a chance
You laid it down and walked away
A choice of circumstance
What made you change your mind
How could you be so fickle
It simply takes some time to learn
To ride a new bicycle
KILLING OLD PEOPLE
The Government is dipping
into Social Security now.
That's the reason why
the New York Governor Cuomo
put virus victims in old folk's homes
instead of putting them in hospitals.
It's easier to kill old people that way
and get their Social Security.
The Government is wise
when it comes to spending
other people's money.
If the Government can abort babies,
it can kill old people too
whom they think have outlived their usefulness.

Gluttony takes no prisoners,
And leaves nothing behind to grow,
Except the need for more.
Gluttony unchecked will end our planets usefulness,
But not our usefulness,
In helping Gluttony get to more and more planets.
More, more, more, and ever more,
Is Gluttony's call to all but the wiry,
And the spendthrift,
The non-alcoholic,
And the tree Hugger,
The Hermit,
And the one actually on a diet.
But is six enough,
To reverse the damage,
From decades of overindulgence?
