An unshaven programmer tech
Drooled java on a Starbucks deck
His net earnings grew
As fooled patrons threw
Dinero to pay for his check...

Watercolor Coughs
Watercolor coughs
Madness fashions a smile
A star explodes (a prism)
Into the rented room
Where an unshaven man stares
At old cracks in a plaster
Wall...

Route 66ish No 15
Route 66ish No 15
While taking a walk in New Haven
This guy who was rough and unshaven
Ran nude through the park
For a bit of a lark
Then got pecked on the butt by a raven!!...

Gas Balloon
Derailed, dizzy, drunk, I snore on my floor.
Naked, unshaven, bald I don’t beg for a penny.
Rotten poems, intellectual crap, I'm agnostic.
Warm dialogues, Worms all over me, I'm reckless.
Shivering and shouting, I'm searching for my balls.
Hallucination, Marijuana, dreams, life is a gas balloon....

Incendiary Device
What has he done there in a million pieces
gone before his time not waiting for Jesus
thinking gone to his heaven learned on lies
It is simple obvious no need of spies
blood and body parts arrayed roughly on the ground
signs common sense and a plain wisdom abound
Gods word in a book I read it unshaven
the world is flat and leaves go to a haven...

Fresh Fruit
Blueberries
Your eyes glistening wide
Seeds of affection flourish inside
Clementines
Slices of smiles to share
Lively cheer, totable anywhere
Pineapple
Fashionable hair spikes
Rough, unshaven cheeks, my smooth face likes
Persimmons
Sweet, tender, fruit of gods
Your lips against mine, my heart applauds

Incinerated
I don’t find words.
Words will find me crying,
when a drone hits the coral reef.
Between guilty and
innocent, the sleep will
level the night and
let go the dreams in sea.
The school of fish dies
in my story. The ship sails
for a new port. I cleave
a pattern of withdrawl.
Roses will come again, to
sign a pact with the unshaven
god, sitting on the pavement,
waiting to be beheaded.

Walk a Mile
Highway exit
Unshaven, un-showered
His dog, trusting as so many never did
Turn a blind eye and move on
Night falls
Surely there is a shelter
Someone else who cares
Judgment is cruel, justification
Care, when others refuse
But for grace
Small acts change lives
Love is free
A kind word, if nothing else, costs nothing
Compassion in a world so cold
Be the one thing of value in someone's day
Save someone's life....

By My Side
I am so cold
The covers are never enough
Can't sleep now
Until you grace my side
You're unshaven and beautiful
Five hour old aftershave
SInce graced a cheery crowd lingers
Upon my sheets
This person sleeps with me
Holds me when emotional dependency
Seeps through the alcohol
Like a child crying for its Mother
That's when you need yourself
As a being and to be loved
For all that's passed between his lips
And perhaps those of another......

I do not know?
He Never Shook My Hand - Epilogue
I think back now to the man I was,
Before I met my friend,
How different I was,
Altogether an average Joe.
I now sit here a nervous wreck,
Dishevelled and unshaven,
Virtually a recluse,
Keeping interaction to a minimum.
I wonder what he did to me,
How he took my mind,
Took my world,
And left me with these horrors.
We briefly met one wild autumn evening,
He never shook my hand,
But uttered those words,
“Allow me to share with you a different view of the world.”...

A Little Bit of Slackjaw
Twas wooden, and my Ivy stick
Did claggy with a cobbled tone.
The moon, in shade rode whimsy high
And whiffled with a moan.
By hairy dog and camel toe
I trundled on and farted,
By gum and skinny teeth I went
Unshaven and wholehearted.
Hag I not seen but in a girth
A womb of some renown-
A creature from some other Earth
Not cream, yet still not brown.
I wooden, with my Ivy stick
And waving with a fist
Fought on with friendly foe in tow
For valour, kin and Kist....
