Egonomics
A ripe fruit falls to the ground

An ego must be attained to be lost

A weak ego cannot be dissolved

An unripe ego cannot be thrown...

The Right Season
Grain unripe, you should not reap
or it may only come to waste,
more so that you must have to wait
for the right one to make the pick.

Ugly
Ugly word he says who
undermines others. His
unripe mind cannot see
ubiquity of God.
Upset he is with self,
uses it as shield or
umbrella above heart

Plantain
Eat me as cheeps
Boil me as food
Either green or yellow
I grow every where
Green when unripe
Yellow when ripe
I give you suckers for the
Future
Give me nine months
I give you
Fruits yes fruits
Plenty of it
Some to sell
Some to eat....

Many Hues of Green
Many hues of green

Looking into her flashing green eyes,
Greener farming had only stayed with wise,
Queen's Emeralds if were seen,
envy must have turned them green,
Unripe greens had to pay all the price.

Love Is Cruel
I LOOK AT YOU TEARS GLISTENING

COMPASSIONS HALLUCINATING-

DEMANDING:

"WAS I UNRIPE IN LOVE?"

MY HEART IS FILLED

PAIN EXCRUCIATING

DEMANDING-

"IS PAIN MY FATE?"

COME CLOSE AND LISTEN

MY HEART BLEEDS,
DECIEVED

THE BEATS ARE FAILIN

DYING AND WEEPING-

"LOVE IS CRUEL."...

Oh, tempter, displaying your unripe ruby fruit,
Easy pickings for the lazy, raffish masses
While staying your ripe royal lushness out of reach
Behind thorn barriers to tear the hides of men
Greedy to press their lips against your swollen skin,
Then gentle bite, receive your bitter-sweet reward....

Unripe
Down by the tempest
wild panacea grabs your attention
In places yet explored
with eyes half open
we gasp for air

I have heard your half hearted pray
But what is right ?
when the remedy is unrequited love
carry the weight of freedom
but be aware of the snakes
in the grass

Cyber Monday
Computer consumers beware
Yahoo your search engine
Bearing no self control
Enter into your dungeon
Running to a deal like a stampede

More can never be enough
Online purchases only
Not going to give up on the
Discount on that pony
Attacking the prices with a swipe
Yuletide attitude so unripe...

The Chapbook
I submitted a chapbook;
a competition,
paid my twenty-five dollars
and waited.
All I got was an e-mailed receipt.
I had to go on-line to see –

no mention.

That was years ago
but I now mention it
for most of those unripe words
have now turned to wine
and sometimes they are
good enough to drink....

Fresh Peaches
Broken fruit stacked forward, with
their tender lip-soft skins
scuffed among her unspoiled sisters.

Lonely is the unripe peach
hoping to be chosen,
turning her sun side out, beckoning,
longing to be washed and tasted, and
not knowing of her immature bitterness.

They always reach back
for the fresh loaf of bread
at the back of the shelf.

its not the same for fruit....

Eat My Words
If you are hungry for words
then why not eat mine?

They are both sweet and sour,
desperate yet full of hope.

A raw wine is in them,
and the unripe fruit of my soul.

Bitter are they,
yet let them season, mull them
in a jar of awareness.

They may in time
enrich you, feed your being,

then, if you are kind,

return them to me,
that I might consume,
and taste a meaning,
only you may discern.

A Small Village
In that small village
Behind the bamboo front
Where the small heart
Made of bamboo leaves
Smokes its cigars
Through its roof

Stands a young old man
Whose twisting cheeks
And biceps and triceps
Turns outside inwards
Looking up the berry plant
Yawning at the fruit unripe

His own body pillars
Whose frail body bends
Can’t stand the size
The wait and load above it
As he tries to climb the berry
He falls and lies still...

Christmas - Plum Cake
Christmas – Plum Cake

If you like Plum Cake
Do beware
For unripe plums
Can cause despair

Be very careful
With the flour
Sift and sift but
Don’t take an hour

Add some sugar
But do beware
Sugar is bad,
So do take care

Mix in some
Butter, this way
Use your fingers
washed today

Time to mix in
Some luscious plums,
Careful now, wash
That red tongue

Getting late now
Off to bed
Think of tomorrow’s
Christmas –

Of the Plum Cake ahead...

Colors of Love
Love as we know
is like a rainbow,
the colors may show
like a glittering snow.

It is red when it's ripe,
violet when it's blue,
sour as orange when unripe,
when afraid it's yellow.

When troubles stripe
the love that is ripe,
indigo comes to light
to show what is right.

And even though like flawless;
true love is like a perfect scene,
love could be homeless
without the shades of green.

Former poem of the day...

I Fell Into a Green Tomato
Clear as the first ray of sunlight
Scattered, centered, full of light
I fell with a purpose and a need
Yearning for fertile ground

Like the first drop of rain
Into an open heart full of pain
The season of unrealized dreams
The floodgates to those bottled up streams

I fell into a green tomato
To plant the seed of fiesta
To nourish and to nurture
The life and love of every creature

The hope of a red heart
The sign of trust
Unripe, unseen, unsure
I fell for you to glow...

An Unnamed Poem For Love
I do not know the art of flirting,
nor have I ever tempted an unripe flower, that is why
I am alone,
But no one can reach even the grain
of my mad love, which is greater than any human being,
free, like the grass grown on its own,
which oscillates in the wind and is as unknown
as the Bile for the inanimate person…
And, when I say that she not only settled in my heart,
but she is beating inside me,
means that I love her much more,
than a person, in particular
can love you!......
