A higher power's
Well earned happiness for me
Toiler, at year's end
Down-tracked, back and forth
These my swimmer's arms
Dragonfly cherubs. Who's flash
With sun's last did blend.
even when shes here but gone
i notice the actions of her act
beauty charms the barks
see the simple of her ignorance
Fingers swish the black back
and step LIGHTLY lightly
you smell beautifully underscore
gentle is her force
surrender to a look
Delicate lingers
I notice
Morning's gray offers its wonder
Red ribbons from dawn underscore
Sun's first light splits night asunder
Moon's high tide rushes to shore
Horizon's line measured from sight
Beneath glow from a rising mass
Turns black to gray from burning night
An image is etched on sea's glass

It seems liked I’ve
Lived this fall day before
Autumn is all that matters
Winter will come
With implicative lore
the moon derives
the underscore
what’s more
The breath bequeathed
In a summer breeze
Will freeze if it
Really matters
My husband ventured out today,
His virus on the wane.
He only took the briefest walk
But didn’t much complain.
For he was thrilled (and so was I)
To see him well enough
To leave his snug cocoon and have
The strength to strut his stuff.
He won’t be running marathons
And this I underscore
Because, in truth, he wasn’t running
Marathons before.

And swim hundred feet touching the sea floor
Flexing like a gymnast, swing overtime
Holding my breath, a bowler underscore
Bowls of clear blue waters I play for more
Bowling pins like needles for life I strike
Bowling and swimming, sports for life I like
Don't swim too deep without an oxygen tank...

stand still & repeat
we got dancing feet
I time to meet & greet
the underscore read
bargain basement heads
face filled with lead
the verge of lying dead
sometimes on sometimes not
we beg and borrow a lot
time is on our side
yet time waits for no man
do you all understand
falling apart in my hand
you can be a better man
living in a far away land
hopefully someday all will understand

We sip hot coffee;

Eyes say more than words.

dissipate in sunshine.
Waves which wash ashore,
this white-flecked water,
underscore your silence.
Last night, in humid darkness,
velvet-feeling black, we joined --
made pacts that daylight violates.
I will not understand your shame.
