Is time beyond memory
that time extrasensory,
which allows our human mind
to struggle up from behind?
That lets us find truth will out
across dismal dark and doubt?
I advance toward pure light
seeking such a candid sight.
Truth hurts, which is why the wise
Shield it from the weak;
The young, the sick, the grieving, the old.
But the truth is
And there is really no escaping it.
We can try
We can run, we can hide, we can work ourselves
Or medicate ourselves
Into oblivion,
But in the end the truth will out
As we’re left standing naked
Before the mirror of our mind.

silhouette
shadows in a lake
flower flutter
in a breeze
the dream ends
an imaginary world
appears
a greenwood pond
secluded
a lark sings
simple&divine&puritan
softly&joyful
convincing upright
truth will out
is anything ever true
a howling wind
the window closes
thereafter
goodness
diligence
prevails
Wearing a white hat
the hero of the day
Truth rides into town
veracity has no shades of grey
a bright shiny silver star
on his chest pinned to his vest
promoting the honesty policy
he tells us it's the best
and the little white lie is not legit
contrary to popular belief
it doesn't exist not one bit
it's merely another word for 'thief'
a rootin' tootin' straight shooter
is what he's all about
he'll outrun outgun the bad guys
as Truth will out
