American Ethics
When one lacks useful experiences
But must keep up with appearances
Tromp on those who know
But soften the blow:
Revoke their Security Clearances!...

The Elephant Tromp
Small businesses have gone kaput
But Donald Trump is so astute,
"That gives me the chills!
If I'd paid my bills
My suffering would be acute!"...

CATFIGHT OF JACK AND TOM
(Limerick crown in question)

Dear Jack will have none of that!
Don’t tromp in his sordid vat!
The leading voice —
So back off boys!
Tom cat...play fair...now you scat!

Premium Member Christmas Dragon Is Leery
Christmas dragon got lost on his way to the north pole.
Charming, her crows and her fox tried to help him out.
But he was leery of their seemingly good intentions.
Conniving humans had tried to tromp him and stomp him.
These seemed trustworthy, but he had been fooled before....

On the Isle of Skye
Lives Old Man of Storr
A varied and impressive mountain
Featured in tall tales of men of yore

Beauty is all around him
But humble he remains
When one reaches his rim
Miles and miles of glory are attained

Upon his slopes, sheep
Love to skip and romp
Just the environment steep
For their daily tromp...

March
The first two months we tromp and plod
Or trudge or slog or shuffle
While bundled up, accompanied
By cough or sneeze or snuffle.

But now the calendar has turned
And so our pace increases.
Think Sousa and start moving with
Your ear turned towards his pieces.

In other words, drop all that starch:
Today begins the month of MARCH!...

Brontosaurus boogie, stomp, stomp, stomp
Higher than your ceiling, tromp, tromp, tromp.
As long as two semis, honk, honk, honk.
Let’s hold it on the freeway, bonk, bonk, bonk.

Brontosaurus cousins, laugh, laugh, laugh
Introduced to sisters, aft, aft, aft.
Swishing cars off freeway, crash, crash, crash.
Brontosaurus boogie, mash, mash, mash....

A mother overhead,
bearing down
with beacon eyes -
my feet
on her beat.

The park -
overcast.

Hear the beat
of robin feet
on the muddy lawn.

Stranger in park -
no bark of dog
nor scampering squirrel.

Flood
like a murky lake -
the sodden path
is alive

with my steady
sneakered tromp
   and the allocation
of worms.

Premium Member Kara the Careful Amazon Woman
Kara gingerly walks from treetop to treetop
Careful not to step
On squirrels, bluebirds or cardinals

The other giant Amazon women scoff
Roll their brown eyes at her inane silliness
Eagerly smashing and bashing smaller creatures as they tromp

Their enormous daily kill rates rapidly adding up in heaven
They often compare and chuckle about the woodchucks and cats
None of them understanding what Kara understands

Karma is a b*****...
