Autumn of Life Indeed

From solitudes, cool treed rest's
To a chilled route's, eve-lit.
Moved on, or moodily blown?
I know, Age, which is it!

My Dog Can'T No Longer

My dog can't no longer bark right
Slipped out last night got in a fight
Po' pup now jus' cries

Mebbe he treed a big ole coon
Or howlin' too loud to th' moon
Po' pup now jus' sighs

The Blockaders

When yer treed up yonder
A man starts to ponder
The best way to shell yer corn

A bit o’ wild yeast
Sparks a lightnin’ liquid feast
A regulator’s foe hath been born

Winter's Horror Show

With spooked nerves' dead of night woe
This horror show
Morns and fogged, quaking on through.
Eves and fogged, back.

A bony figure's stiffness
And lifelessness
Treed, which its leading part plays.
Treed, with star's knack.

Toot Suite

TOOT SUITE

Alas, as hunters treed their prey
envisioning the feast
gravied meal at end of day
sopped up in breaded yeast.

An ill wind blew
and no one knew
from where it emanated

As sugar in the innards boils
and then - a little toot uncoils

This Quiet It Crackles

This quiet it crackles
Under our feet!
Leaf-rusty, nutty;
Not so discreet!

With all these mutenesses
Treed hereabouts
Autumn's shocked, stiffened
Bird, its song-bouts

Clearer heard, heart-echoed
Expressed twixt us
That harmonized for
Love's own chorus.

Long Cold Winter

**Haiku**

bitter wind blows stout
pelting icy snow crystals….
cold winter’s harsh thoughts

**Senryu**

treed primate postures
like Indian totem pole….
new politician

Maureen

just composing
thoughts Berlioz
my favorite but
since my wife
is sleeping i can't
bang away an etude
on our piano

so i will
turn up
the volumn
of my finger
tips that tap
morse code
supposing

that you
caught that
as if a coon
dog barking
that i've
treed you but
won't let you

Call-Backs,Fallen Nests, Empty Nest, Snakes Alive

A nesting is but invaded
All nestlings abandoned
But ‘four’ eggs shelled?

Mother bird is gone
Many a tuft of feathers
Drying in the winds!

Broken twigs have bent
The nest will sit misshapen
Under treed branches above!

Mother overhead flees
Skyward tweeting call-back cries
A hungry snake waits!

Tropical

Tides wash over painted toes.
Rum rains down;Reptiles sun.
Ocean waves; Oracles with desired lies.
Palm treed Paradise with insects.
Islands with beautiful barefooted influences
Careless days and nights; secret caves and coves.
Abundant atmosphere; fruited alcohol attractions.
Lovers under the lagoon's night sky.

Can You Hear My Glad Sigh

Witches, owls, broomsticks, and bumble bees.
Peace signs, flower power, just a tease.
Princesses with crowns riding on their steed.
Steampunk Annie, rabbits, and bird so treed.

Gardens galore with flowers from every seed.
Mushroom houses and faeries, just what I need.
Dragons holding daisies, red hearts in the sky.
I am painting again. Can you hear my glad sigh?

Weeds

When you plant good seeds watch out for weeds. They will try to supersede and snuff out all good deeds.

Because weeds grow to impede and to do misdeeds. Once freed the weed will proceed to take the lead and have you treed indeed.

So take heed, when you plant your seeds, watch for weeds, if you feed, they will breed and will make you concede.

Proofread, then proceed with Godspeed.

Harriette

Cold breeze on my face,
Garments with a lace.
Agony of waiting,
Makes my heart thrilling.

Screaming as it was,
Greatest gift will pas.
Love it is indeed,
Happiness has treed.

Shines brightly as sun,
Showered me with fun.
Everyone will understand,
How you held my hand.

Life is amazing maze,
And sometimes like haze.
Treasure you are to me,
Forever you will be.

Bunny Can Untangle the Lights

Bunny can untangle the Christmas lights it was agreed.
They were all over the place, stuck, and some were treed.
Wonderful! Said a lazy llama, at this idea seed.
He took nothing into account about bunny’s need.

So, Bunny sat down and began to untangle the line.
He did okay for a while, his work was mighty fine.
But then he pulled the wrong light and they began to pop.
He ended up breaking them all before he could stop.

Black Pepper Seed

Well here's me just a seed Amidst the life of the world Just a seed, yep that's me Around, but not to be heard Even in my little existence I'm taller than other seeds Like life I'm struggling to be Being brave against treed For now I'm starting to be Ground like other seeds Becoming dust that's Falling under their feet Now I'm ground down Even smaller than I was Thinking my life on the vine This seed, I'm a just because <*>
