Long Cold Winter

**Haiku**

bitter wind blows stout
pelting icy snow crystals….
cold winter’s harsh thoughts

**Senryu**

treed primate postures
like Indian totem pole….
new politician

Love the haiku, but the senryu is incredible, Caryl! New politician, indeed. Folks in D.C. could learn from this "treed primate." Congratulations on your win in John's contest! Love, Carolyn
