Eighteenth Century Love
Treatise of love suborn
Of feelings, desires shorn
With parochial aspirations born
On ritual wings bourne
Romance brokered forlorn
On christening morn, personal
license torn
Deeded by title; underwritten
with scorn
Parceled with dowry; with
annuities adorn
Liabilities, a fitted mantle
charitably worn...

Treatise On the Psychology of Regret: An Account of Oneirology
Life blooms from a flower
Like a book flipping open
Spilling sunflowers and roses
On memories in deep oceans.

Fires rage and blood red burns
Endless fields and inchoate urns

Spraying ink and deep grey clouds
On love behind the pendulum....

Helios incubated the embryonic pod
Unction sparked from Zeus's rod
Jupiter's vital streams embalmed ingrown clod
With growing pressure swelling kernel did prod
Fledgling shoots pushed through birth canal onto sod...

Premium Member Where Does March Go
Where does March go?

On a grand exotic cruise ship, you think?
Or to skate in a lovely rainbow-colored ice rink?

Perchance, living in the mysterious twilight zone,
Or into a glorious, palatial home of her very own?

I seek here no scientific answer or treatise,
Just a poet's blooming, dream-filled premise.

As to where our Miss March is going,
Suddenly, brilliantly~her moonlight streaming!

Adieux, March.
