Lament For a Lost Love
She no longer speaks to me
Since I went and stroked her knee
Being carried away
During afternoon tea
When she went and stole my heart
With beef and two veg
And treacle tart...

Fish of Gold
Sliding beneath the ice, frozen over the miniscule lake of grey
Orange shapes move like treacle, mingling, bumping, breathing ice.
They do not eat in Winter, they eat the most in May
Their memory spans are fleeting, vanishing in a thrice....

Sweet Kid
The lemon drop child
looked at the world
through sherbet fountain eyes.
Her sour cherry lips
spouting black jack words,
whilst her mind was an
aniseed twist.

Her rhubarb and custard complexion
and curly wurly
liquorice hair
Belied her treacle toffee soul
No love heart there....

Sense of Reprieve
yes madness no
i cannot -
hear
for all the talk talk ...
see
for the smile displays a horror
the
odoriferous stench
of the inevitable inimical political scientifical
is a rough toughie
I refuse the obligation when the
taste
rankles to a treacle so
keep talking -
while I
touch
a leaf
to feel my life...

Advance Fear
Your sweat vacates your brow like treacle...

...You shudder as your conscience trembles...

I stand firm...like mighty oak...

Go round me if you dare...

I stand firm like mighty oak...

In sweet silence I hold my tongue...

In time all things will be done...

I stand in wait...

I stand firm like mighty oak...

Go round me if you dare......

Intercorrelated
Clapping elephants in a queue is rarely seen at sundown but wilderness is best approached sideways. For to deliver atoms to bricks is to corrode a nail bar. Wow. But tail bars can be eccentric dash fast then. Hahahaha now get a snail and hold it up whilst balancing. Hahahaha tree treacle xxxx intercorrelated.hahahaha when p equals q the y equals z....

Mass
MASS

I flow along the ground, a gross glutinous mass as sticky as treacle.
My body is liquid and my blood is runny, one with the mud.
Soon there is no border, just a huge mess like some waste from the stinking sewer.
Ive become a goo just like burnt toffee and god don’t I smell. Im quite happy just lying here content to be lazy acting like a turd....

Spent
What if the one you need
is the one you never find
lost in a lagoon of lost
the silver freckled mist
hesitant above the black treacle surface
swallowing the stars and
eating the lunar aura

Bad Luck
I walk a little and talk a lot
I sing unlike a bird and tease a moth
I trip on the stair yet remember not to bare!
I saunter like a lady but stumble on a chair
Unlike my friend I tickle my own toes
Then suddenly I see this ant up my nose
I blow it off but alas its fast stuck
I forgot to wipe the treacle, bad luck!
So I sit and lament on the days events
Hoping and praying I'll get a room to rent!...

Night
The sky--
black treacle trapped in tar pits
dripping from a mastiff's jowls, or
one thousand million foolish houseflies
drowning in a single paper trap, maybe
a sprawling anti-Elysia, the hunting ground
for our shadows to roam while we sleep.
A well built by some sweaty, laboring God
that we merely see the bottom of.

But what matters of its dark?
A sky stretches out untouchable
and cares not what lies beneath....

Reveille
The sunrise is a golden, peachy delight,
replacing the treacle blackness,
of the kingdom of the night.
The brightening wakens me
from my deep insensible slumber,
and outside of my window
the songbirds grow in number,
to sing their dawn chorus,
competing to be heard,
each trying to sing much louder,
than any other bird.
So the conspiracy of our star,
and my feathered friends,
means that it is certain,
this is where my dozing ends!...

Just
Tie black satin ribbons
around the sun
Dipped the moon
in velveteen space
Smudged the edge
of virgin clouds
sometimes drew a face
Pulling combs through
water creating rivers and seas
catching sunbeams
in the fractured waves
My sighs become the breeze
as it mingles with trees
Sunlight like treacle
sifts between finger and thumb
Living time in seconds
never felt the days
Sit with silence
until sound changes its ways...

Premium Member Soggy Seas
Listen to poem:
The seas today were not a short, sharp chop
but were syrupy soggy soft like black treacle,
clinging to the hull like on a spoon, clutching and sticky.
Warily I sailed on, aware of the tenuous tug
and drag of deception in the compliant welcoming.
I, as an alien in the wetness of sea,
knew that the warm softness of the seas's clutch and cuddle
may belie a hidden tumult,
a change of face
on the whim
of a mere breath
of wind....

Premium Member Two Dormice
On a cold, dark, late April morning
beneath white, frosty blades of grass
and lacy labyrinth spider webs
I found two dormice, frozen in a bottle.

Eyes closed, tiny hands in prayer-like pose
furry tails wrapped around in last embrace.
It's easy to imagine the two together
seeking warmth and comfort there.

Or, after climbing in, they could not escape;
find their usual warm, soft nest
ride out this unexpected April frost,
and find a little treacle well....

Spam Fritter Again
Being a non meat eater
I'll never eat a spam fritter again,
So why is the special offer on the counter so inviting?
Am I back at school again?
Queuing up for dinner
And hoping for something nice.
No menus then,
Probably just as well,
And the fritters are there
With baked beans and chips,
Treacle tart and custard for afters.
So I'm in the queue
Feeling dippy in the chippy,
Longing for something
I can't really have.
Veggie Spam anyone?
Didn't think so....

Premium Member Make Believe Dreams
I am the moon and the stars to seduce mortals,
With treacle touch of soft indulgent fickle light,
Whilst heads yield cradled on feathers drifting in sleep.
Knees kneel and holy books unfolded in prayer,
Entrance by my vastness reminded how small they are.
Glimmering guide, ships and a star to steer them by.
Make believe dreams unwind; I am the moon and the stars.

Treacle
Sickly sickly treacle trickley
seeps on, mouldering down the crock.
Stickily sticky it steadily, trickily
keeps on for many a round of the clock.

I wonder I wonder if I would turn green
Should I gutsily plunder its festering urn,
Or should I desecrate such a picnic-y scene
If I’d gently expire or clamorously burn.

Quickly quickly treacle slickly
Drippily dribbles down onto the floor—
‘Fore I can supply my sick wonder
The trickley treacle has trickled off and is no more....

A Hundred Poems - Ii
What dreams sweet life soul
that Earth soil so wet-dew
that
touching

              tears feeling
my council doubt this dream
but
release

thee
budding light this day
such philosophy stab
thy heart

          love now
skip treacle and grail
passion fuel thou vessel
tickle-being spur now

         and
truth

in heart bleed red now
and breath push you
rhythmic
lover

       thou gave me

the reason in moment

        spring time lips
