Tower Tower
At the place we belong
Bright light not at night.
Fly in the sky as the rainbow grows earlier into colorful that turns into shapes in the atmosphere.

President Dwight D. Eisenhower
An uncommon tower of power --
Softly he spoke and unerringly
Used military force sparingly

The sunflower flower tower sighs
Awakens the power shower skies
Teleological
hypotheses bore me
Tautological phraseology
snores me
A beer and a burger ~
I adore thee
All the nations met,
Chat,
All the things came correct,
Brought the World straight,
A symbol they thought,
The Pisa they built,
Now tilt!

as old as myself
you have smoked most of your life
I've not. I live on.
a tribute to her serene majesty
the one and only and forever Eiffel tower
reflecting unique architecture in the water
enhancing French horizons
Tower above the clouds
Advocate not vindicate aloud
Yellow is the colour of clarity
Live for life in reality
Obstruct all negativity
Rest well in positivity
Gustave Eiffel's tower's an eyeful.
The view from its top makes me stifle
a gasp when I look down.
My stomach flips around;
I might just lose it in a trifle.
France is for Fun
France is for Romance.
France is for Always making memories.
France is for Nice days.
France is for Coffee.
France is for Eiffel Tower.

La dame de fer looks on
furry tabby cat is enthralled
woman plays mystery sonata
is that a stratavarius? It is!
we are all intrigued and excited
including iron lady
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
her gaze pinned on that crumbling silhouette~
ribs of stone gnawed by centuries
as violet bleeds through the parapets
the clock tower held her hostage
she knew there was a message
aren’t you asleep yet? called her mother
she was quiet, feigning sleep
knowing it was not going to happen tonight
The Tower of Pisa started leaning
Builders knew by floor three the meaning
Soft earth they say
Still stands to this day
More than 16 feet off center careening
The pieces
of
my broken dreams I gathered
and
with them succeeded in building
a solid
tower of success!
a lonely tower
on a rocky outcropping
gold light pierces fog
sailors raise a mug
aboard the once doomed ship
all mainsails unfurl
Contest: In the Light of haiku
Poet: D. Guzzi
Have you ever climbed the Eiffel Tower
The view is magnificent, entranced by the hour
But the problem is
Didn't think I'd live
Became breathless and pewky, what a downer
Cower from Trump Tower
What we all will do is start to cower,
When we hear about Trump Tower;
Golden shower prefers,
As each one endures;
We wonder who killed his will power.
Jim Horn
old Smeaton’s Tower
spends its retirement dreaming
recalling its youth
no light in its eyes
glares at the young usurper
on Eddystone reef
Jack Horne for Russell’s In the Light of Haiku contest
Beauty of Paris rising high
Such massive latticework is seen
At night a golden color's view
Three levels given public's try
Restaurants on levels are keen
This tower's sight could be for you
The setting sun is sinking along the mountain,
And the Yellow River’s flowing towards the sea.
If you desire a view of a thousand miles afar,
Please keep on climbing up a higher storey.
