OLD TOWER AT SUNSET

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ her gaze pinned on that crumbling silhouette~ ribs of stone gnawed by centuries as violet bleeds through the parapets
This was painted in the 19th century in Holland. He originally titled The Old Tower in the Fields, with a Dutch woman in the foreground. My 71 art class studies, Van Gogh and Renoir, were among my faves.
Your poem is so stark and your versification here is so terse and powerful. Well done dear Sara.
