Opposites
I who am stubborn
stir moodiness in with pride
to snap out hurtful retorts

love and forgiveness,
tolerates imperfection
and remains married to me...

The Captive Heart
Captive of the heart
You are a willing prisoner
You fain the life, a poet's soul
And bristle when love, like writers block
Amplifies the anguish
And tolerates your impotence
Above all, time is not a comfort
It ticks down louder and slower
Until time stops and stills it's beat...

Love tolerates the pain
               that only Death can numb.
But, hope is not immune to tears...
                             and babies simply smile.

Premium Member Only One Alpha Here
a stray has been dumped
my old dog is a snapping turtle of anger
pointedly ignoring the interloping puppy

both think they are the alpha dog
trying to get to daddy
I correct them both
by giving Daddy a long kiss on the lips

There is only one Alpha here
And she tolerates no other Alphas...

Pain
Troubled Tuesday tussles through the tides
Taking turns to toil terrified today
That tip talking tremendously to the task
Tabled tales, the tall trees tossed
That touch
That trip
That tears
Taken
Tolerates
Trembling talks
The transparency travels
Telling Trevor to take the task
Today tears the town...

Shades of Gray
Shades of gray like smoke
Invade my life
A faith that demands black and white
Tolerates no gray
A child that needs love consistently
Tolerates no depression
A bank account that is fragile
Tolerates no mania
A heart that is broken
Tolerates no guilt or anxiety
I know black and white, but
Gray is all I can do....

In, Out
Out the greed-bound fella brandishing lust,
In the saintlier man flashing lamps of truth
With wise sayings and rhymes that soothe,
To let the past sinful modes return to dust.

Out the hasty hand that tosses love and care,
In the more careful soul that tolerates all
With a heart that does not let its beloveds fall,
The caring spirit that treasures all jewels rare....

A True Friend By: Miracle Man November 14, 2020 In life, If there’s one person on whom you can depend, who showcases your talent for others to see. Extend honor by calling them your best friend, even though on occasion, you’ll likely disagree. “A true friend is one who overlooks your failures and tolerates your successes.” Doug Larson

Misery never evaded me, it's like my shadow relentless in following me, where can I
go to escape this insidious silouette - a shadow which taunts me. How could I
escape faith that is destined to be, an outcast with wretched existense, an existence
which tolerates me. To escape, to expire, I chose not to be, still alive because death
refused me. How do I live nor can I die, to roam the earth until death remembers me....

Cupid Cupid
Cupid, Cupid, cherubic sprite
Do you feel at all contrite
To fire your bow at only one
Then fly away and say, "I'm done!"

Cupid, Cupid, do you delight
To set a single dart in flight
So one can pine, the other run
Is that your impish way of fun?

Cupid, Cupid, who do you serve
That tolerates such childish nerve
Does God or Satan have your oath?
Personally........Methinks its both!

Human Drama
Blazing forth with unspoken words
Beyond the unseen deep-secret of time
The knowing sparks the point of no return
Truth that grows beyond this world
Compassion that knows the dimensions of suffering
Kindness that cares for all life
Patience that waits for each being to return home
Leaving behind the dregs of emotion
The pain, fear and drama on earth
The awakening tolerates the actors
While enduring humanities play...

Thoughts at 4:27 am
I love that she sees me as I would be,
And not as I am.
That she tolerates my half century faults
As a passing phase.

I love that our children
Have passion and curiosity
And are as different as sunsets.

I love, now ain't that a surprise?
Despite all the punishment I've taken
I can still believe in another.
And my reward is her laughter
My punishment her tears
My heaven her touch
And my hell...
The years
Without....

My Best Pal
My Best Pal

My very best pal is a hairy ole' guy.
His breath is so bad, it bring tears to my eyes.

Mexican music he really adores ;
though he lies, not dances on all of my floors.

He's happy go lucky,
and smiles all the time.
he has no money, not even a dime.
For why would he need it,
when he is the boss.
And I, just his servant,
pleasing him at all cost.

My pal is a stinky ole' Beagle, you see ;
I dearly love him, he tolerates me....

Premium Member Under My Umbrella
Listen to poem:
Reluctantly
She shelters me
I don't wish to intrude
Her fragrance I must steal away
Bright lavender and oud

The pitter-patter
Of the rain
Disguising how my heart..
It flutters when she is so close
But also when we part

The journey short
My words are slow
She tolerates my gaze
Or the clumsy gated shuffle
As I heap on her much praise

My palms so cold and clammy
But what am I to do?
A simple soul's desire
Walks in my shoes
Next to you...

Still Hope
She makes him suffer, yet pretend to care.
Its' not like am judging her,
But she doesn't deserve such a stunner.

We all know too well, she plays the good girl.
And for her she fell,
The poor thing believing it all.

Now the truth he knows,
To accept it he tries,
But still fails to realize,
She won't stop the lies.

He tolerates all the humiliation,
Avoiding petty confrontation,
Waiting and hoping in confusion,
Maybe her demons will slow their motion....
