A crystal shell
Of sparkling glass
Embracing its host
In a frozen hug
That tinkles like chimes
On winter’s dead flowers.

below snowy peaks
cows graze peacefully
on verdant slopes...
tranquility tinkles
within my soul

Tanka
Emeka was starving in a lightless land
no passersby bothered to give him a hand.
Crystal tinkles in a nearby palace
wine flows from a silver-encrusted chalice.
Emeka dies alone; purple shall atone.

Limerick
I bought my cat a collar with a bell,
it is red and tinkles and she looks swell;
she is so proud and so glad,
when it is off she is sad;
tink, tinkle, tinkle all night till I . . . YELL !

Concrete
One has wrinkles, but so does the other
and they both are a whole lot of bother
They can't control when or where they pee
To get around, they crawl on their knees
Yet a helpless baby everyone loves
An incontinent old man nobody does
Perhaps it's because the baby's so cute
even when decked out in his birthday suit

Rhyme
Misty sleeting engaging sprinkles
Drops of mornings dews
Gales waters tinkles
Water droplets sun embraced rainbow hues
Rain
Silent Sea breeze sprinkling
I crave the silent splendid breeze
Tradewind showering
I hear the mountains sneeze
The clapping steroid seasoning
Waterspout
Nature's faucet turned on flowing
When will, when will the rain
Stop

Rhyme
Sound that brings
Back memories
Sounds that make
One cry
…From an ol’ music box…
Sound that tears
Tears from one’s eyes
And wrenches forth
Deep sighs
…Nothing quite like an ol’ music box…
No, nothing says poignancy
More so…
than does the silken notes
That softly flow
…From a music box…
That plays ‘Lullaby
And Good Night’
And tinkles down
E’er so slowly
Til wound again
…Up tight…

Ode
A day at the bank,
I could never forget,
With the scowl-faced monsters all around.
Am I in the prehistoric Jurassic age? I thought.
They smell the greens so well,
their ear for the tinkles so clear.
Those radiating smiles,
reflecting their urge to hunt down their prey,
those who just walked down to them unaware.
Their transition from the meek to the prowl,
and from prowl to scowl.
A day in the bank I could not forget.
