Kitty chorus

At dusky dawn
a scamper of paws
resounds on parquet
and marbled halls.
The Obermeier tinkles
ancient ivory vibrates
in a concerto
of feline chords.
Soprano meows contend
with the garden quartet
of iridescent birds
rapt joyously
in kingly melodies.
