I am sure that those of you who have walked along Alpine mountain footpaths have experienced the tranquility that I'm referring to....the full contact with nature, the whispering wind, and the melodious tinkling of cows' bells...

Mount Titlis

below snowy peaks
cows graze peacefully 
on verdant slopes...
tranquility tinkles
within my soul

Paul, breathtaking in its beauty, this poem compels me to linger with it, to take time to absorb all of its loveliness, if that's even possible to do. It's one of the observations we brought back from Japan - I hope that I've described the tranquility of the Rose Garden adequately in it ... Maria
