Once Tranquil

Tangled in a web that is woven
Thinned out thread once golden
Captured in a love so divine
Now sowed together time after time

please meet me half way

time after time waiting there

I've noticed this time after time again.
Whenever a man and a woman have a conversation,
the woman never stares at the man's chest while she's conversing with him.

It Hurts Being Used

Is it fair to play
With the hearts and lives of those
Promised love always?

Since you have not stayed,
Time after time, they suffered
Feeling hurt and used.

Into the Ground

I sat in my head
For so long it did seem
Sat in a well
Drowning in a dream
A dream of what was
Lost and once found
Time after time,
I ran myself into the ground

Sea

I so often find
That life comes in waves
As time after time
The sea calls out my name

Return to me
As the hour grows late
To sail once again
From the waters you came

I Love Words

I love word’s rhythm,
I love word’s rhyme,
I love word’s feelings,
Time after time.

I love word’s wisdom,
I love word’s light,
I love word’s whispers,
Night after night.

Leave the future to chance,
Fate and I will always dance.

Leave the present to me,
Will and I must always be.

Leave the past to time,
Destiny and I shall always rhyme.

Tried To Find My Outlook

Tried To Find My Outlook

Time after time much more of it took,
Trying to find location of my outlook;
Searched and searched,
For location perched,
And about it one day will write a book.

Searching In Vain

Carrying your heart
Inside my pocket
I traveled the world
Searching for love
When fate was unkind
You never complained
As I forgot to thank you

How many times can you let me down,
I fall to the ground stand up and

In time my knees will heal,

Valentine On Sartre

Kissing your cheek
time after time
then at once, you asked:
"What are you doing?"
"Counting my blessings," I said
"I was never good with numbers, though,
so I start it all over and over again
and imagine Sisyphus happy."

Fairy tales and make believe,
Incredible life changing adventures,
Characters that come alive,
Time after time after time.

Overwhelming odds overcome in a
Nice diversion from reality.

She Sadly Drowns In Tears

She sadly drowns in tears
Because of how you treated her
You were nothing but a manipulator
Time after time and, year after year
She put her trust in you
And you disappointed her
Your heart was never there
Nor were you ever sincere

Cheap Shot

Lightning surrender your strangle hold
On the heart of the tender
For if being nice is a crime
Advantage you will take time after time
But I will not surrender my outstretched hand
Even as out of the corner of my eye I see your cheap shot you land

The Sky

I fall in love with the sky time after time again.

Perhaps that is how I learned to love so hard,

To love so much,

And never expect anything in return.

I fell in love first with something ever changing;

Nothing can disappoint me after that.

Innocence

On the outside it doesn’t show,
hiding beneath a scarred surface.
Replaced time after time
but still holding strong.
Far from perfect porcelain,
a beauty so deep it can’t be seen.
Feeling lost in this world,
putting on a smile
maybe you can be innocent again?
