Joy To the World

I breathe my joy into the world seed to take root and leaf unfurl within the troubled hearts of those whose thorn may turn into a rose

Premium Member There Is Madness In the Rain 7x7

There is madness in the rain,
thoughts drip like magic from lips;
Ideas pour on the wind
Just waiting to be harnessed,
to take root in someone's eyes;
Breathing life into a dream,
Feeding imagination.

Seedling

------------------------- Seedling

           Its only a dream
           a little tiny green sprout
           waiting to take root

Each Tree

to lay her seeds
in the ground around her
where they may take root
and drink

and sprouting upward
opened palm of new leaves
her air is theirs
and the same sun

to find herself the core
of a family-forest
this is the wish
of each tree

Premium Member I am disgust

I can churn stomachs, with a stench of truth
An abscess filled with maggots, pus profuse
As I feed off gunk, new nerve ends take root
Raw language in my words, not gross abuse
Yes! I am disgust, old wounds fear my fruit

To Me: On King David

Did he not seek fervently a heart with his own,
And in that deed unfolded truths and secrets unknown?
Verily he was divinely appointed and of the Lord known.
In him don't all the great commanders of word take root?
David, like you I hope to write as I should.

Incarnation

If there was no one
to believe
would there still
be truth

If there was no one
to tell
would silence
take root

If there was no one
to laugh
would smiles
be gone

If there was no one
to love
would all feeling
— abscond

Premium Member Bloom

The flower blooms,
Petals unfurl,
A beacon of beauty,
Sometimes in a harsh world.

The poetic muse,
Takes flight on the breeze,
Words dance and shimmer,
Like leaves in the trees.

Ideas take root,
Branching and growing,
A garden of verses,
Where emotions are flowing.

vernal equinox
pollen’s proliferation
spring’s rebirth affirmed

busy bees buzzing
beautiful birds building nests
winters gloom erased

seeds take root
blossoms bloom-birdsong elates
spring nears its end

Green River

And I watched the green river,
the ageless river
that does not have to justify its existence
but just flows,
and I called:

Green river,
   speak to me.
Green river,
   teach me
       to turn obstacles
           into song.
Green river,
    sing to me, let
	your many voices
		take root
                      in my heart.

Premium Member Long Needle Pines

Long needle pines
chant in a gentle breeze.
I sit motionless. Bathed
in the canorous drone,
feel the tremors
of life’s longing,
the ring of ageless wisdom,
sense the strength
of stoic serenity.
Would that I could take root
and join them
                   …….in their moment.

Premium Member Eternity Tree

Lost Eden’s eternity tree is found
In the gardens all around.
It’s just that we’re too blind to see,
His vision of eternity.
The wind may blow the old growth down.
But little sprouts will soon be found.
Or that same wind may gently put
A seed where it can soon take root.
God’s plan is wonderful and true.
Not all revealed to me and you.

Reboot

Reboot
Floppy disk
Magnetic storage medium
A new chapter
Be open minded
Impossible dreams
Move on from your old ways
Reboot
A new harvest
Quenching thirst
New horizons
Recharge
Restore
New beginnings
New ways
Many blessings
A new season
Unexpected change
Planet seeds take root
Reboot
Start believing
The nets are breaking

Self Lies

Where do the lies go
That you tell yourself
Do they take root
And feed upon your health
Fattening themselves
Then like a dart
Finding nourishment
Into your willing heart.

Don't tell me
You don't feel them there.
The lies never die
They furnish their lair
What do we lose?
Self respect the ego fall
Our own sense of worth
The biggest lie of all.

Why do we create stuff?
Stuff is never enough.
We need to wonder how:
To surpass old endow.

Why do writers write?
Fond writes feel like love bites.
Taste thus forbidden fruits:
Let sensuous feel take root.

Why do poets write verse?
Strange words hurl wild outburst.
Fragments of feelings urge:
Less words forge deep converge.

Lost Eden’s Eternity Tree is found
In the garden‘s all around,
In all parts of the world I‘d guess
Reflecting Eden’s loveliness.
It’s just that we’re too blind to see,
His vision of eternity.
The wind may blow the old growth down.
But little sprouts will soon be found.
Or that same wind may gently put
A seed where it can soon take root.

Premium Member The Rose

The thorns over grown and tough
Rip the flesh from her aging skin
Difficult as the chore may be
She prunes where others haven't been

Deep in thought as she does the job
Gloved hands remove the shoots
A distant glance shows a good change
Tender young parts buried take root

Some say she's too old for change
Just let the thick thorns remain
Time will tell if she did well
And if the pruning's healed the pain
