Quench Not

Do not limit the Holy Spirit;
Do not put out the Spirit's fire.
Take hold of Christ's outstretched hand
And fulfill His perfect desire.

Later

I'll see you later,
you'll find me later.
But with one last melody
I'll let you take hold of me.
But this is too much now.
I am too much now.

Breathless

Breathless as my heart denies a beat

Swept heavenly up off my feet

Breathless as you're eyes desire

To take the passion even higher

Breathless I will ever be

Whenever you take hold of me.

Meet what unfolds and sync with fest,
Allow thoughts bold to anchor quest;
Zoom and take hold of passion grand,
Embrace your soul with zeal and zest.

Premium Member An Outlook

I decline to be of sad world. I refuse to live inside tears. I choose to hold life as precious and dear. Though my words may often reflect depression deep within, I never neglect joy’s right to take hold of me again.
Form: Lyric

Love-Loss

An inexplicable feeling,
Naked to the human heart

A cold to catch,
	Or a butterfly

Take hold of the rains,
Or wallow in their wake

Lay in slumber of your solemn sleep,
And take time to weep

For the soul you’ve called home,
Has gone away and flown

Memories untold

Let all the bad memories go
Sorrows and sadness untold
Within the pages He unfolds
Drowning in the sea of life
No where to run
No where to hide
Let all the bad memories go
Take hold of Jesus and find riches untold
Days of peace and laughter like you've never known
Let all the bad memories go

Surrender

Surrender yourself
Let your body be taken away
Your mind be erased of al your worries
Sink into the notes
Feel the rhythm pulse in your body
The sound beaming from your fingertips
Let it take hold of you with its hands
Feel it flow through your bones to your head
And take control of your mind
Surrender to the music

Today Part 2

The fears of yesterday are erased.
The fears of tomorrow are too far away to reach and take hold of.
Today is a day in which you change who you are and be who you want to be.
Today is a day of dreams coming true and a day of love blossoming.
Today is a day to take hold of things you want and want to achieve.
Today is the day you live.

Feed Me Til I Want No More

For awhile many trials are hard to bare, i want to scream when it seems lifes not
being fair. But i know if i go to God in prayer, he'll take hold of my load that he
knows i can't bear. When i keep the faith watch and wait , pray obey and not
hesitate.I know for sure just like he said, his word will be the bread that will keep
me fed.

Come Out Now

They are here to get you
So you can come out now
Out of hiding and free yourself
From the fear and from the run

Take hold of truth and tell it
As it always was to be
And never give the lie the power
And any time to shine

For you will win in time
When justice will prevail
And take your ease and solace
In peace that never fails

Hands Bid Goodbye

An untouched cup of coffee
sleeps on the café table.

I want to take hold of your hands,
hands now clasped upon
a checkered tablecloth.

We both know it's over,
but no lies please.
being dumped
should be a fingertip moment.

Utter no pre-chosen words.
I promise to say nothing,

let the cooling,
once hot coffee, speak for us both.

Ocean Home

She steps in the ocean
and lets out a sigh
Knows this is the meaning
to the meaning of life

As the surf and the sand
take hold of her hand
Begs her to stay
as long as she can

Salt in the air
is her spice to life
The breeze in her hair
is the answer to why

The ocean alone
is where she calls home
The only true comfort
that she's ever known

Kite Flying

Listen to poem:
Take the freedom of fields
And the spirit of youth
Share it - let go of your cares
Fly your kite with a passion
and ignore the dull fashion
to stay indoors – Get some fresh air

Take hold of the reins
Make freedom your aim
Gape in awe as it sails in the breeze
Allow a smile to your face
And give daydreams some space
Just watch out for lightning and trees!

Retirement

quietly (reflecting)
each moment that you've spent

touching our lives
     with wisdom
                 (rest
                  now,

                          peaceful and content).

your task here
     is completed
a new one has begun

take hold of life
     and live it
     ever facing towards the sun!

                                    Shadow

Life

Three lives left to play
but that's only in the game.
This life I live each day
 is only moments unclaimed.

So hurried and fast
now is all we really have
and too easily slips in seconds passed,
a lifetime suddenly cut in halve.

Take hold of every moment left
do with it your very best
be wary of time's awaiting theft.
knowing, we are but life's guest.

Amongst the Shadows

There amongst the shadows,
a masterful elucidation
of melancholic glee.

While the winds of change
take hold of thee, for
the splendor and eyes
of every many.

For the gentle whore
whose troubles woe,
perchance a cup
of pennyroyal tea.

For upon the throne
of harlotry, a gentle
courtship, spoken
cordially a many
young man. . . "of
thee, plenty. . . ."

For the Faded

For those that know the world
But know no place to lay a head
When our lights have faded
When our minds feel the cold

Come hear my words
Hear the sounds
Feel the warmth
Move towards these
Away from the faded path

Feel the beat of a heart
The warmth of a touch
The comfort of a friend
Take hold of these my faded friends
And let them pull us into the light

Perma Cringe

These feelings in my mouth
Make it hard to speak.
Sour and acidic
My face becoming a perma cringe!
I would swallow my words
But I fear death would be ,
The end result.
I cannot breathe dread and
Anxiety take hold of me.
I grow pale;
And pray you can read
My thoughts, and see
The things I would not
Say.
I’m not at ease,
And am one breath away
From spitting out a curse!

Dreams Can Come True

Follow your dream

Wherever it may lead you

And give it all your heart and mind.

Don’t despair if clouds hover above you,

Look through the darkness

To see the light behind.

If something’s worth having

Then it’s worth the challenge,

So don’t give up whatever you do.

Take hold of your courage

With hope and determination

That is the way to make dreams come true.
Form: Verse

Hold On To Me

Hold my hand
Through windstorm and rain
I’ll never leave you
To fight on your own

Take hold of me
My might is enough
To keep you strong
Through all of it

Where you go I’ll be
Nighttime or day
For you I died
And now live again

Stay in my grace
I’ll give you peace
Know that I’ll always
Be here for you

Your are my child
And I’m your Friend
And your all in all
Forevermore

O Lord
In my life the sun rises and it sets
In my darkness I see you
Chilled to the soul yet
feeling the warmth of your touch
Take hold of my anxious hand
Have mercy and heal my soul
For I cannot see what I should
But I ask on bended knee
For a drink of living water to quench my thirst
Heal me so I can see more clearly
What lies beyond me

Take This Hand

I hold it out for you; it's waiting, it's ready
to take hold of your hand and help keep you steady

Rise up from the floor now and again take your place
in the world that awaits you, a smile on your face

You are well on the way now, to where you can be
no waiting, no wanting, for now you are free

You've risen above what made you feel incomplete,
feel proud of yourself, now the world's at your feet

Self-Watch

Have not crossed the street
in many years
to greet you.

A slice of moon
leaves footprints in blood.
Maintaining the perfection
you start giving names to trees.

Paraplegia:
you start dismanteling the life
in search of romance with death
for immersing the dreams.

Take hold of my arms
I want to invent your portrait
in sands of nocturne.

Drink the milk of silence.
It is dark, but soothing.
Go to sleep.
