Take This Hand

I hold it out for you; it's waiting, it's ready
to take hold of your hand and help keep you steady

Rise up from the floor now and again take your place
in the world that awaits you, a smile on your face

You are well on the way now, to where you can be
no waiting, no wanting, for now you are free

You've risen above what made you feel incomplete,
feel proud of yourself, now the world's at your feet

Thank you so much, dear Eileen. It was written for a contest with a prompt of 'encouraging words', so I hope that it captured that somewhat
