Before I Write a Love Poem

restless perceptions lie
in shadows they stir

in moments of silence words stir
as they wait to take form

the house is still
but it breathes

outside the window
a yard light shines a star

in the back of the house
a quiet side street

notes jotted down in haste
wait for the morning light

a love poem to be written
waits to be shared

Writing

Put pen to paper and
as the ink flows
so too your strength grows.
The power of the pen
to heal and reveal
innermost thoughts
amazes.
Words within
hitherto unrecognized
take form.
As you scribe unconsciously
the introduction to self
sparks a new friendship
of intimacy.
Put pen to paper
for the combining of the two
creates a powerful force.

One Or the Other

Brutal strikes on the soul,
Take form in the cycle of memory,
'less you forget what your heart won't let,
The abuse sticks to the sensory

The abuse sticks to the sensory,
From the pain he did beget

Cinderella

For years I had an idea in my head
You came along and brought it to life
I watched my thoughts and words take form of a human
Dreams of romance and adoration truly breathed
I was in awe
Something so far was finally at my fingertips
You were real
That was the best time of my life
I hate myself for taking it for granted
Because now,
It was all just a dream

It Must All Be In My Head

when the whispers take form
and that's not a cartoon hero
and they see my dreams
yea the little fat men
she says he gets it first
and no matter the path i take
it all comes back to
is this just my dream
or a coma
or delusion
and how can what i see and feel
reflect on the radio/tv
there's one way to find out
but something screams
there still something hear for me

Writing To Myself

Poets, painters, dancers…
Mind - Body - Soul want express
Writing to myself

Always a reply,
when I ask the universe.
Writing to myself

Thoughts that need to rest.
Some questions that need answers.
Writing to myself

Your thoughts must take form,
understand what it's inside.
Writing to myself

They could resonate
inside of others too. But,
Writing to myself.

Nice

She says nice
But I know better;
Like ice sculptors
I shape words
Out of the rough
Like out of the blue
From me to her;
Watch it all
Take form
Right before
Her very eyes;
Like sandcastles
And graffiti murals,
But unlike those,
My art will never melt,
Will never fade,
Will never get washed
Away with the next tide
If this was a pen
It would glide on paper
Smooth like
The curves on her...

The Chant of the Blank Page

You give me existence, and you are my author.
You are just the one from whom I take form.
There is nothing in me without your imagination.
I'm just a blank page.

The beautiful? a style that has done honor to me,
that killed as well my inner beast:

I call the Sages so that you to continue.
I call You above all things.

and later on, a breeze whispers to the writer:

"You follow Me, and I will always be your guide".

Woman In a Cloud

I watched a while on a summer's day,
Above the field in which I lay:
The clouds take form and assume their place,
And in one I saw a face.
A face obscure and yet familiar.
What name that face? Twas sweet Delia!
For one brief moment I saw her peer;
I felt a subtle grayness near.
That shade of gray between dream and sleep,
When thoughts we think, but do not keep.
I watched a while and in conscious thought,
The elusive dream at last I caught.

Who and For What Or Why Do We Cry

Lets hide again today just like we will hide away tomorrow
Lets embrace each others pain
Lets absorb each others sorrow
Lets both agree to lock the door once more and lets explore our ill feelings
Lets both search for the remedy to instigate our healing.
So lets forget the world outside and concentrate upon what makes us cry?
So do these our tears take form because our hearts are torn?
Will our tears eventually run dry? Or will they flow until the day we die?

Whispers of Light

Whispers of light caress
the edge of darkness’ reign,
rebellion, renewal, transition,
sweet gleam, golden delusion.
Awakening
in fleeting otherworld
the wings of fairy nymphs,
misted clouds of long past
dreams take form
stirred by breath of
siren’s call.
Lovers silhouetted
in the darkness of a light
not yet appeared.
Waiting on the edge
of love faded and love new.
Within the silent darkness
enchantment’s
whispers of light.
