Before I Write a Love Poem

restless perceptions lie
in shadows they stir

in moments of silence words stir
as they wait to take form

the house is still
but it breathes

outside the window
a yard light shines a star

in the back of the house
a quiet side street

notes jotted down in haste
wait for the morning light

a love poem to be written
waits to be shared

Dear Mike, your reflection on the process of writing a love poem is beautifully captured in your words. The restless perceptions and stirring words waiting to take form resonate with the creative journey. The imagery of the still house breathing and the yard light shining like a star outside the window adds a touch of tranquility to the scene. I loved how the anticipation of morning light and the quiet side street evoke a sense of contemplation and serenity. Your poem captures the essence of the creative process, where ideas and emotions are carefully nurtured before being shared with the world. It's a thoughtful glimpse into the moments before inspiration takes flight. - Blessings, Daniel
