Summer sallies in blazing hot
Gentle in approach it is not
Chilly Spring winds soon forgot
Scorching sun off cooling soil steams
Warming all the rivers and streams
Melting core of soft snow dreams
Songbirds practice their choral sounds
Joined by grasshoppers’ leaps and bounds
Insects build their own playgrounds
Chirruping crickets call their mates

My Night Is Gone
Oh! I hear the bells toll again,
The morning birds awaken,
And my night is gone!!
Oh! let me sleep on,
The moon has lost her struggle,
Against the sun's pitiless dazzle,
The stars like fallen warriors,
Are interred without honours,
The nightingale's soporific melody,
Is drowned in the noise of anarchy,
The ambience so cool and pure,
Has turned too sweltry to endure,
I keep my eyes shut tight,
For in them I retain a slice of night....
