The leaders that we followed behaved of lowest rank.

While the path we hoped for upward to the depths now we have sank.

Mists of tears, forgot in woe,
Showers of rain, standing still,
Skin as white as snow,

Passers by wander not a sight,
Pay no heed to such a blight,
Showers of rain, lost in ill,
Wandering each... stone cold night,

Forgot, abandoned, this lowly one,
Hope is lost, all yet none,
Showers of rain, brights forsaken,
Misbegotten hope, now that all is done....

Suspended beneath obscured dusks,
Dripping amidst blinding aftermaths,

Amidst alcoves of echoing nocturnes 
Unshackled by your sweet afterglow, 
Healing me with the elixir 
Of our dawning horizons, 
Strumming eurythmic tunes, 
Suppressing starless 
demons, betwixt
Soul-stirring 
Destined

Since time began, he and his bride
Upheld the realm, preserved it all.
His soul, his queen
Apart, ne'er seen.

Her end is near, eyes open wide.
He whispers dear; she hears the call.
They've shared the small; naught to confide.
Alone, bereft, awash in pall.
Scarlet, oaken
