Darkness
It breeds in my chest
Suffocating
The light

It's hard
Suffering every ragged breath
Knowing
You're gone

Premium Member Each Time A Flame Turned To Ashes

Why did it always feel so devastating
As each new flame I was tenderly holding
Faded away before my heart blackening
From smoke and mirrors, while suffocating.

Opposites

The emptiness can be suffocating.
The happiness can be depressing.
The victory can be defeating.
The longing can be fulfilling.
You ask me if life is ironic?
Is it ever.

Hormones of Love

caned by suffocating
stiff of blood
our brothers go to
cages
leaves fall on my skin
ardent love
indomitable spirit
hormones
of love
dissipate extinguish
like a comet

Trapped with Myself

i’m not lonely
i’m just so alone i feel trapped with myself
a claustrophobic in a padded room
but in all reality it’s just my own thoughts suffocating me

Silencio

again this silence
between
me and myself
suffocating
in this room
everything
is
and
everything
isn't
I hear
somewhere
a thought
breaking.

Dwindling Hope

Hope
Dwindles
Changing course
Of time and space
With glacial winds suffocating my whole
And absence of color within the snow
With the harshness
Of yearning
Dwindles
Hope.

Writer's Block

An onyx fog
encompasses me
suffocating
drawing closer
blinding me
can't breathe
can't see
can't think
I reach
for my pen
my fingers
brush the metal
but it's just
out of my reach

Consumed

I thought you were the light in the sky,
really, you were the darkness swallowing me whole.
Your dark poison consumed me,
You were suffocating me, how could I have not seen that?

Anger

It consumes me
Black tornado
Forever spinnig down
Holding me in its grasp
No one can help me

All alone
Darkness surrounding me
Slowly closing in
Suffocating me
Walls around me

3 Am

Its 3 am
and the voices are loud.
Remember how you told me
that i am not alone?
what about now?
At 3 am
I am alone,
suffocating on the words
that my demons inside
preach to me.

People of Hope

You are art.
You are a fiber in this woven world.
Held together by our capitalist coffees and our racist roads,
You are a flower blooming in the suffocating smog.
You are hope.

Darkness

Darkness closes in on me suffocating me
Thoughts of self-harm and death are always on my mind
Nightmares and day-mares never seem to cease
Always there reminding me that it wasn't meant to be
