Midnight Coffee

He loved midnight coffee, midnight music

Played harmonica jams like there was nothing to it

Every note he played, his heart and soul ran through it

Norma -A Story Poem-

Norma was a little girl lost,

she came from a broken home.

Her mother was prone to madness,

fits of delusion,rage, and sadness.

Though her early life was a portrait of devastation,

Norma rose above it all and she found sweet salvation.

Fairy Tale

I wrote a fairy tale, "How Hugo became a fairy friend?" for BJ's contest, but realised that she wanted a "story poem", while mine comes under short story, so I posted it under Short Stories.

Please do take time to read and leave your comments. I have given the link above.

Homeward Bound

Todd spent two weeks working in a seaside town

Til he and his boss man had a falling out

He packed up his bag, paid up his motel,

& he was outta there like a shot

before the sun went down

He hadn't seen his wife in quite a long time

So he couldn't wait to be homeward bound

Premium Member Many Years Ago Story Poem

Many years ago,
a simple kiss made her glow.
Love was everywhere,
sweet flowers filled the air.
That day there was no snow,
the warm sand covered a toe.
Her blue eyes and blond hair,
with that yellow dress she wore with flare.
July 4th was a big show,
they said I do with a playing banjo.
A beautiful white dress she did wear,
a heavenly day brought him a tear.

Johnny & Gigi

Johnny grew up hard,

where the streets were mean

His wits were usually sharp,

and his eyes were keen

Gigi was bright,

and a high school beauty queen,

John thought they were worlds apart

Not just different leagues,

and even though she made his soul sing

He thought:

"No way she'd ever go for a guy like me"

But turned out he was wrong, so pleasantly

Twenty years on and the life they've built

Couldn't be more amazing

Premium Member A Pink Angel

A pink angel
with tiny wings
fell off my Christmas tree.

She sighed on Easter Day,
forgotten
on bright pink seat.

I will say hello tomorrow -
put her by the clock,
so nod her head to the steady beat.

I'll tell her it's not Christmas.
If she could kindly wait?
