Hold on
Steadfastly to
Hope and faith in tough times;
Love, when you find it, or if it...
Finds you

Admirable ability.
Rhythmically rendered.
Terrific talent.
Intense individuals.
Steadfastly studying.
Tangential thinkers.
Seeking serendipity.

They toil away
unacknowledged and unseen
working day and night
fleecing the scene
they know all your ins and outs
steadfastly collecting
everything
they can on you... Meet

Light Verse
Introspective or
Sparkling bright,along
Life's highway we alight.Now
Crestfallen,then tearful sad,
Pensive,wistful blue
Steadfastly our moods show through;
Close up or afar
Our moods make us who we are.

Strong
spirit
faithfully
uncomplaining
thus, you have been since your beautiful birth
Once a soft and cuddly baby boy
now, a stalwart
steadfastly
serene
man

Words flutters her firm
feathers and
flies to freedom,
she whirls in the wind of
wonders,
wielding wisdom,
her spirit swirls and soars
steadfastly to stardom,
without thrills, her theme,
thrust will be thrown into
thorns and thraldom.

Rooted in rising aspirations
Left alone in a field of dread
Autumn glimpses of
Winter wind skies
Whither the harvest
of withering drive
Whether twas worth it
To be so alive
Standing silent
beside fruited seeds
Steadfastly set
in his ways

Thoughts of paradise
Swiftly diminish
Into melancholy memories…
Each gripping steadfastly
Romantic eyes of then and someday
Burnishing our hushed moments of fantasy…
Letting us elude our todays
Which initially, divine in desire
Converts into yearning soon enough…

Mainly a friend that loves and amuses
I often would be lost without you
Never a moan parts your lips
Steadfastly you guard our home
Tenderly you wash and groom the cats
Ready to go for a run at the drop of a hat
A true and loving companion you
Live life with wagging tail and a smile

Knew just what she wanted to say,
that’s what she steadfastly believed;
Jazzed to write this poet at play,
clever words with rhythm are weaved;
No longer with that spirit sleeved
ghost whispers change the narrative;
Prose brighter than you had conceived
free from the real world’s sedative.

Rather than talking to walls -
I talk to the universe
Which talks back.
The Milky Way hails -
The stars wink endlessly -
The planets - they enchant -
And if my ears are sharp -
I might hear steadfastly
The drum of time
In sync with my heart -
The crickets and the owls
As one rhyme.

Drawn steadfastly upon my face
neatness and precision;
unturned yet quaintly ageless grace
as I breathe the new dawn.

Souls in Heaven.
First, was Neda, then Sahar, now Mahsa.
She was forced to bend her soul.
Once again, a woman died.
The government's sordid role.
Mahsa's death in custody,
Must be steadfastly investigated.
So Ebrahim Raisi said.
Once again, Iranians will feel frustrated.

A lack of a horse or a Harley had long held him back,
the curse of normalcy and no redeeming truck.
Some said he held himself back
others shrugged
knowing he had already lost a race
he never dared to enter.
Nevertheless he plowed his own track
kept a neat furrow
a straight-arrow aiming steadfastly
to nowhere worth a mention.

I watch as the rain pours down incessantly
I listen as the west wind howls past so silently
Yet to my destination I must pursue
My fate be tested my truth be told
Yet alas my goal is not yet in view
Steadfastly onto my burden I hold
Bathed in this monsoon rain I stand weathered
Yet I know that without a doubt I shall reach unrested

I do not know?
Listen to poem:
In long-haul dreams, we set our sights far-off on distant shores,
Assuming that each step, each choice, each twist, will open doors,
Will keep us heading steadfastly ahead, right on course!
Yet time reveals the dead-weight drag of our remorse.
Looking back on the shortfalls, on the litter of regrets stowed
As keepsakes to repay, all the time-wasters, for ransom owed.

Unfurled in magisterial splendor
To minds memory forever render
Glorious vision of red, white, and blue
Steadfastly waving, our hearts to renew
Emblematic embodiment we embrace
Thirteen stripes of valor, purity, and grace
Vigilance, justice, emblazoned by blue
Fifty white stars twinkle in united hue
Flying in freedom, tell our nations story
Liberties bulwark, our flag, Old Glory!

To think passing time with the question posed
And pluck from my ponders what I am not
Reveals an answer from the calm of mind
When my stranger perceptions formulate
To persuade me with inferior choice
And steal the security of what I am
And hold steadfastly to bridges I built
That span the solace of all that I am
When I find what I'm not is unimportant

Blank verse
Practice makes perfect, is what Mom said.
Regular preparation renders perfection well.
Altruism and faith remembers the Lord.
Corrects the soul and perfects the saints.
Tomorrows arrive steadfastly swiftly.
Imperfections infect spiritual aspirations.
Consideration and repentance corrects errant days.
Expect exaltation while choosing life’s way.

My eyes a reflection upon
the night, a still-life of
weft black white threads embroidered lace
of sketched jagged diamonds.
Drawn steadfastly upon my face
neatness and precision;
unturned yet quaintly ageless grace
as I breathe the new dawn.
