Choices

Its like, don't be a victim.
Speak up, or bob your head to this rhythm we call life,
we all have a choice by the end of the night.

2017

As that they say 2017 is coming to an end
You all out there should say whatever you’ve been wanting to
Say to me or any one else
And you well should speak up to yourself
Form: Epic

Solving Sadness

People are not happy and
It affects the universe
To get to what is forward
Sometimes we must reverse.

Can'T Speak

she tries to speak up but there's nothing left to say
she wishes that this pain would just go away
the cuts on her arms make her stronger
but it doesn't help her soul live longer

Premium Member fearful of boss wrath

who is the mouthpiece? the employees ask each other.
most of them are fearful of the boss’s wrath.
no one is willing to speak up
although they will holler their disdain in the lunchroom

Speak Up!

Pity for the lost; joy with the found
Acceptence of alll races, sexes, etc.
Willing to communicate
The truth - and nothing else!
Solid rock in changing times
Stamping out pride; winning souls

Mrs. Elinor Roosevelt championed society's outcasts
Asians, widows, orphans, blacks -- all those downcast
Yet as six million perished in World War Two
She refused to speak up for a single Jew

Your Silence

Your silence
It kills me
wont you speak up
I need to hear your voice
So soft like silk
So beautiful like the song of a bird
Your words
Flowing from your mouth
Like the sweetest honey
Please
Speak to me

Legend

Rising up after being broken, down trodden, humiliated makes you a sheer survivor but to speak up and speak out especially for those who cannot speak when weak, fragile and vulnerable- makes you an absolute legend!

Speak Up

Speak Up
Say what you mean
Get it all out
Don`t leave things left
With any doubt
Tell them you need them
Tell them you care
Say that I Love You
And you will be there
Open your Heart
True Love is Rare

Premium Member My Heart Is An Empty Jardiniere

My heart is an empty jardiniere
Receptive to flowers and affection.
By your wayward glances, I could swear
There is a festering attraction
But speak up bravely; be not passive
And may we start a journey called love.

Soul

Safe place inside me
Deep within my heart
Hidden but not lost
Quiet but not mute
Never touched by fear

Childish spirit
Hunkering down
You are here now
Speak up Release

God within
Eternal
Voice of love

Living
Breathing

Soul.

All About Change

Change is the only constant
That remains in this world
Change for good or for better
Abandon evil and do good
Change evil and turn right
When in danger change path
Speak up your voice for change
Change is for radical thinker.

Voice

Seeking an asylum,
A sanctuary to rest.

Unrequited empathy,
Supposing the world is full of hypocrisy;
We’re all guilty of heresy.

Trying to live a legacy;
I’m too bold-too passionate,
To say nothing in the wake of injustice.

Premium Member I Ignore Honesty

honesty yells into my ear
but I ignore her
because honesty has gotten me into trouble

she wants me to speak up
but I live in the world of savages
who would rather believe lies than the truth

I tiptoe away, letting us both down

Unprison in my heart,
Unlock words I struggle giving;
Like the flutter of a lark,
Wing what's coming from within me;

Let my soul be set on fire,
Like madrone, or manzanita,
To promote the words I hide;
Ascribe my life to rightly speak up –
Form: Lyric

See Me

Look at me
and see all my flaws
my dark spots and wrinkles
moles and skin tags

Look at me
and notice my character
my fear of flying
my inability to speak up
tip toeing around
trying not to confront

Look at me
and still say
you love me.

Inquiries of Life

Do you know who I am?
Am I, real or a scam?

Can anyone really know?
Since we all go, to and fro.

Who is it next to you?
Are they, fake or true?

Who or what to make choice?
Speak up, you have a voice,

Do you know who you are?
Do you live, with any scar?
Form: Couplet

-hum-

Thoughts a float,
who should say?
Speak up speak up this is your day.

Safety in hope rest more.
I see you only to reveal myself.
An expression with a funny face,
distorted even.

Time on time we surf,
waving in between.
Hello, I love you.

What a feeling.
