Ears ringing,
just let your heart race;
‘I want you’
Dancing words;
We can play in the shadows
snuff out all the lights....

King David arose at twelve ev'ry night
Hadn't forgotten to snuff out the light --
   He just wanted to pray
'Till the dawn lit the day --

The Visitor
it arrives unknown in the black of night

passing in silence, away from sight.

casting no shadow on the cold bare floor

it enters my bedroom through the open door.

bloodless fingers, worn thin by time

snuff out a flame at my side.

collecting in full, the price mortals pay

alas, death visited my garden today....

Premium Member I Will Not Break
I will not bow
I will not break
To think I might
Is a mistake

I know the truth
it sets me free
No matter what
you think of me!

Matthew 12:20- One of my favorite Bible verses.

A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out, till he has brought justice through to victory....

No Hunger
No appetite for wealth or fame,
for each will snuff out like a flame

No thirst for beauty, strength or youth,
for each will fade, as sure as truth

No desire for power or control,
for each will gnaw upon the soul

My craving now's for life and health,
for each will bring to me, true wealth

A life to live with gratefulness
and no hunger for what I don't possess.......

Weeds
When you plant good seeds watch out for weeds. They will try to supersede and snuff out all good deeds.

Because weeds grow to impede and to do misdeeds. Once freed the weed will proceed to take the lead and have you treed indeed.

So take heed, when you plant your seeds, watch for weeds, if you feed, they will breed and will make you concede.

Proofread, then proceed with Godspeed....

She walks the halls to snuff out breath
attired in her veil of death
Soon, the morphine takes its toll
As she steals their very soul

They see her coming and lie in fear
They know the kiss of death is near
And then she takes their feeble hands
And leads them to a cold dark land

Do they really want to die?
Or has the system gone awry
They lie there waiting for reprieve
But it's only death that they receive...

Premium Member The Sun Slip Slides
As the sun slip slides down blue skies and sets,

streaks of pink, mauve, and gray clouds pave its way.

And the night is wrapped in a black silk shawl,

whose dark threads snuff out the last light of day.

Dark Depression
Dark Depression
Suicidal Thoughts
11-18-08
William L. Moore

Let go of all the strife
Just snuff out my life
Make a strong fist
And Slit my Wrist

Make me cry
Hope to die
Call to get help
Only to Yelp

I can not stall
Just end it all
Would anyone care?
If only I dare

Would someone come by?
To check, to say goodbye
No one would crave
The stink that would Rave

This was written when the whole world was falling down around me. When life was not
important any more....
