A Far-Reaching Limerick

King David arose at twelve ev'ry night
Hadn't forgotten to snuff out the light --
   He just wanted to pray
'Till the dawn lit the day --
To chant lyrical psalms ~ Heavenly Heights

That Book of Psalms is gold, isn't it?! It takes some work to access all the meaning in it, esp. in the original Hebrew, but it sure is well worth it. Thank you for commenting. Deeply appreciated, Alexis. ~ gw
