Even the red neon from town glowing
through the snowy woods seems right.
As I step out the back porch the last
mantle of clouds lifts from
a new covering of snow on Sangre Mountain.
A final flake drops with a small hiss
into my cup of black coffee
and I wave back to a stranger
who´s come out around the bend
of the white road....

A sunset so vivid, a picture to portray
Snow cascades a mountain
A deer and foe lay low
leaves crumble and fall as
the winds begin to blow

Sprinkles of rain creep silently down
while stars gaze over a sleepy little town
A night that’s too quiet for sudden sound
all seems shy in waiting,
wanting to be found…...

Blue-eyed prayers drip from
lips white as snow on a mountain top
her face is oriental alabaster.
Restless feet on stone floors
Every candle becomes a temptation 
a magnetic attraction.
Over the wall, she will not flee 
Faithful as she is to her abstract lover.
When desires leave her
and her steps are ponderous 
she is the new abbess....

While I was glancing through a window sill,
What I would see was  a winding wind mill;
All of my dreams and wishes God will fulfil;

A farmer's soul was in soil  that he does till;

Contented and happy when He paid my bill;
