Chase my tricks of dew
among the narcissi
that sit atop
my window sill
with flits of stolen
galanthus
I pilfered just for you.

I hasten that you answer me
before the moon twitches at her curtains
to sneak a better view.

Sneak a Peek
Tell me, you
whom my
heart desires
Voice of my
eyes
Betray my
heart
Our prized
secret

My eyes, a
reflection
o'my dream
To mend the
seam,
To heal your
heart,
And soothe
its hurt

Dive and
drown in
their pool
ever,
Keep you in
e'er,
Without a
fight
All through
the night...

Inspire
Take a quick moment to sneak a peak into me
Into my pain, but only gather up the pieces of me, which do not desire to cause you this same rain.

I am purposely here. You are to, don’t be drowned out by the sorrows left in you!

Get up! The fight is isn’t OVER, and you can’t win a battle, wishing on a four leaved clover!...

Premium Member Prophet Sharing
I was truly inspired by my Pastor's insightful sermon today!

I didn't even try to sneak a snooze or let my mind go astray!

He spoke of Ezekiel, Isaiah, Daniel and all the prophets of old.

Could be said 'twas a "prophet-sharing" seminar he preached to his fold!

Sneak a Dream
As the seconds of your time
Begin to merge with mine
With every brush of skin
We touch tentatively within
As you listen to me chat away
Within your closed lips
I hear all you have yet to say
As you look into my eyes
I stare deep inside a beautiful mind
As your future asks where will you be
I sneak a dream what could be we...

Premium Member Potholder
Hanging around
between jobs, on the hook.
Enjoying moments,
often fleeting, to sneak a look.

Overall, grateful
for this home and life.
Dare I dream
you’ll be my wife?

I can only hope
you feel the same.
I’ll be patient
until you take my name.

As long as it takes,
I’ll never quit.
A shy potholder
in love with an oven mitt....

Premium Member Transfiguration
I guess, next to actual
transfiguration, writing
is closest I will ever come
to sainthood. Not that
everything about me
needs correcting, the
old nun would scold me
with a suspicious smile –
for more than once I saw
her sneak a candy from her
top desk-draw, just before
lunch, and the Sacrament
of Grace...

I forgave her
with a smile.......

Peeling away the onion
      uncovering another layer
Brings a tear to my eye
          can just about bear
          keep stripping back
           trying not to stare
          I sneak a little peep
         find I’m almost there
         then come the floods
           my soul’s laid bare
             All that remains
            is pungent despair...

You Better Come Along
Music! Dancing! Beauties galore

The town will be full of all

After the King is chosen

for the Mardi Gras Ball

March 8th, That's the day

When the King will rule the town

Close your eyes and sneak a peek

As the pants fall to the ground

So all you folks, come along

Join the crowd ... be witty

See all! Hear all! Know all!

Downtown, New Orleans City.....

Premium Member St Paddy Day Elf Secret Pal
St Paddy’s day elf had a secret pal
He wished it would have been his cousin Al.
It was actually a bunny, which was kind of weird.
For when he thought of the rodent, it appeared.

You must be magic, he said, leprechaun-like, right?
The bunny held on to his leg, and he held on tight.
It was difficult to sneak a gift to the little guy.
He shows up day and night the elf said with a sigh....

He discovered a little girl lying in his bed.
Shh! He told his wife. She is sleeping like the dead.
Baby bear wanted to sneak a peek at the human too.
Look said Mama Bear. What a cute tiny shoe!

Goldilocks woke up and was startled to see
Three grizzly bears winking at her, smiling with glee.
She had no idea how kind they all were and marvelously gay.
Running off without her shoes on this warm spring day....

Moments of Your Time
A definition of me relies on
your borrowed time
to sneak a question into vested terms
That decide my earthly worth
and stun my vision into sight
And if the sum of one chooses
to relay my plight
in numbers that sum up to none
Feel free to walk away
and place my days into
silent moments of your
worthy time
And call this poem…
tragically unfinished
And this life…
sadly retracted
and our youthly vision
materially tampered...

The heavens have touched the earth

unleashing darken clouds

with an imposing blackness

We sneak a peep

at the looming madness

cringing to the clapping thunder

rendering wonders

to all asunder

Swirling smoke

churning woes

reciting roles

invoking judgment

l hail, bowing to plead

praying for a streak of dawn

revoking the pending anguish

breaking the dreadful accord...

Jewels From Heaven
In a world sometimes cruel and bleak
Two little jewels from heaven sneak a peak
They come down to earth on shooting stars
As they giggle and wiggle passing Jupiter and Mars
Two little gems with a heavenly glow
Who greet you with a smile and humbly so
They bring down joy and want us to know
That Love still pours down in heavens light show.

Premium Member Divine Dice
Is it really so hard to sneak a look behind
the hand that holds God's cards?
Quite right, Einstein,
God does not play the roll of dice.
If that were so, we should rightly say
his gamble of our lives
was not so very nice.
I may not see his every move,
or know what's held for me this day
but for those He holds in love,
and where they understand His way,
His hand is cast for certain good -
He hears each word from those who pray....

Premium Member The Bulldog Strolls
The fearsome Bulldog strolls
as a robust reminder
to those exhibiting various traits
of hooligan grinder.

He keeps a close watch
for surreptitious acts of malice
from those who sneak a peek
then retreat to their palace.

Kings and Queens
who flaunt their gargantuan pride.
Be careful where you trod
the dog hears every lie.

Blocked by most of the sugar crowd
with their game.
The level of hypocrisy wielded
just adds to the shame....

I bridged the gap
Therefore I haven't fallen into the great crevasse
Pretty good going...
I'm happier unlost, not in a pit of despair

Plus Strictly is on later
I'm going to experiment with taco making, am halfways through knitting a pumpkin and just bought a book with promises of being funny...

I haven't got up yet - but I'm totally going to

I'll sneak a poem on the end...

I can contemplate or I can become better I need to decide

A Bombing of Recollection
Furiously clacking away
At a tiny keyboard,
One parent computer-sentry,
The other a full time zone away.
When I manage to sneak a second,
Looking at all the contests
I would never have a chance
To enter, I wonder:
What is a blitz?
And thus spawned a small ditty,
Albeit a quick one,
On life, death, and the keeping of memories.
Almost a month later did I receive my first and only accolade.

A Poem
rejoice.
surpass your peak,
sneak a glance
your knees
may wish to
dance

Evolve does hand
words follow

the thumb that holds,
the mind that thinks
a soul that

see's

who knows what
that word means

but it means good,
as it
should be

fill this book
with a creed,

though I do not
know what holds
mean
~~

trivial is their scheme.
a nightmare is
always a dream

rejoice is to
redeem

redeem is to
foresee

if you can foresee,
you can
look.
Only at
the
moment...

See the glimmers Feel the glimmers
Glimmers... Hold on to the little moments of magic and miracles in the world.

See the glimmers
(Feel the glimmers)
By Michelle Morris
22/02/2024

See the glimmers
Feel the hope
See the rainbows
Embrace the unknown

For in each moment
There's a chance
To catch a star
Sneak a glance

See the angels
Feel their wings
See their halos
Embrace their peace

Feel the glimmers
Ignite your soul
The angel's blessings
Make you feel home
