Snatch

HER EVERY GESTURE,
MY EYES NEVER ALLOW ME TO FORGET.
I CURSE TIME,
BECAUSE,
TIME SNATCHES IT,
WHENEVER, LOVE I GET.........

Green Hearts Wish World

time is youthful girl
it snatches age pearl
joint of bone
feels weak-lorn
yet green hearts wish world

The Shot

His three pointer was clearly a tank
His perfect shot just wouldn’t sank
So, he snatches the net down
And starts to act like a clown
Silly acting clown did the crank

"The scent of your light
envelopes all over and
spirits me away from here."

"And thus, I go with
you; the sound of your shadow
snatches me in this half light."

Passion and Love

Passion is an impulse
      of a rushing river
   that snatches our destiny...
   Love saves from the wind,
      a gentle breeze
    that caresses us in life
       tenderly... !

Premium Member How much phosphorus in a human body

How much positive phosphorus is in a human body?
I hear the facts in tiny whispered scientific snatches
Stated by a biologist named Mr. John T. Roddy
Each of us has enough to make twenty-two hundred matches

No Room

Trapped necklace:
after a kiss of bee
to find the hive.

Honey spills from the
urns. I wet my moons in night.
Wind snatches a sun.

Let’s go back to bricks
for the moral blindness of
king without crown.

Pain

My eyes waste away with grief
Like the broken shells of a shattered egg
Deep down beneath the ocean of my heart I feel the scream
Lost in the gloomy clouds of confusion
I want to shout but fear and panic snatches my voice

Almost Caught

My mind keeps returning to the sense of a dream
Not even a clear memory, but snatches of a scene.
In my dreams, I remember other dreams.
Trying to explain that fractured cohesion to myself,
fully expecting one day to remember how to fly.

Majestic queen
Mightily snatches prey
Aloof, haughty, and crazy quick

Am I In Hell

Thoughts billowed out from the mind
All the disbeliefs and sins whirl around my soul
What's more...
The barbed arrow of time pierces into my heart
And as the witching hour dawned upon us
It snatches my breath away... Am I in hell?

Premium Member Money Can Be a Curse Too

Money can be a curse too
Whenever the man
Becomes greedy
Overworked
Stuggles for a living
Snatches for more
Begs to make ends meet
Bribes for tne utmost
Steals for easy going
But still can't possess it
Forever
(because he will die one day )

Tiny black crabs climb Up and down my arms and waist As I drink the humid air And taste of the salt That the heron also knows When she snatches at the clams That lay at my feet, Reflect color of my face In shades of black, red and white

Dreams and Memories

In my dreams I relive moments of the past
snatches of images clouded with sounds
to see a face I once knew- once loved
now and again I just want to forget
resent the invasion of my dreams
the dream is but a dream
but the memory is real
and the pain like a stone in my heart.

Premium Member The Tooth Faerie, Unhinged

Oh, how you brushed and washed me,
And lovingly dental flossed me -
How tragically you lost me,
When I was extracted from your skull
By an overzealous faerie,
Toothless, hideous and scary,
Who from kids like you, unwary,
Snatches denture teeth, which he can cull.

In a Sex Worker's Private Room

Trappings of femininity
Cagey breasts, Alexandrian perfume
An act of seduction
Not stupid in blunt fingernails
Painted rose a caressing owl
Scratches blood and snatches wallet
In crafty hands Love towels roll
clod in time my flesh intersects
the heat, boot and crawling insects.

Loved and Lost

I can hear your laughter
While he listens at
One of his friend's corny jokes
I can see his smile
While he gazes at his wife
With pure love
A worldly man he was
While he gives advice to
His kids about the do's and don'ts
Suddenly, something snatches
His life away, leaving a trail
Of hurt and pain

Snatches of Time

Snatches of time here and there,
to fill in the gaps.

A quick kiss in the rain
A word hello on the line
A note to fill the time.

It seems snatches are all we spend.
The time that we share are precious to me.
But they are still just snatches in-between.

Like the tide on the sand, the time passes quickly.

Premium Member A Farewell To Arms

Is
When a tiny tot teeters on the brink of toddlerhood
When your first love finds another
             When a reader discovers Hemingway
When demob happy you exit the services
When a treacherous IED is tripped
When Death your soulmate snatches away.

Fairy Feet

the gentle tap of dainty fairy feet
as they dance the night away.
see the last flicker of their wings
as their feet disappear into the midnight air.
hear them tap their shoes.
see them go into orbit and land at twilight.
hear their little whispers and cries for help
as a goblin snatches them away.
and all that's left is a pair of fairy shoes.

Off the Button

Within the hurricane report,
Of which I just heard snatches,
A person on the radio said,
“Button down the hatches!”

So many people get things wrong
When idioms are used
And it is understandable
For folks to be confused.

But “buttoning the hatches”
Wouldn’t help one to protect
Either property or relatives,
At least last time I checked.

For Gabriel - Who Can'T Really Speak

My nephew
     has severe autism
He has a tough time in
    this world
I've taught him to sing snatches
of Nat Kind Cole's "NatureBoy" and the
Lemon Piper's "Green Tambourine"
   We all love this kid
It would break his mother's heart
If he wound up in a group home
So have a kind thought
    for Gabriel
"We must love one another or die"

Classy Broad Picking At Nachos

Her good and grace
Placed in disgrace
As the human moment
And cheese-covered roadkill
Gets the best of her better soul
She snatches the dripping morsel
This Byzantine beauty lets it roll
Wiping the lost drop of nachoness
With dexterity and pedicured elegance
Only to lick it clean and nasty
Before anyone realizes
Her subtle act of triumph
Makes her one of us.

Premium Member Noisy Neighbours

Sandwiched between noisy neighbours We hear them putting their labours In screaming matches Boisterous snatches Seems like they're fighting with sabers I wish we had placed soundproof glass So that no sound, no noise can pass All would be quiet Unlike the riot Our neighbours create and trespass 03.20.2021
