Is It Worth It
Dylan Thomas. Silvia Plath and Edgar Allen Poe These are names That we all know Fought their demons All their lifes A pen in their hand To give them advice Does the pain go away When the words are put down In for a penny In for a pound Only their ghosts Can shed the light All the heartache Was it worth the fight...

Buzz, buzz, buzz...
Great Queen, I hear your song.
Making honey with your workers... all night long.
Sweet nectar of the forest, sweet liquid sugar of life,
teased away from the flowers, one soft petal at a time.

Ever their grip tight, upon the gift of the maker,

Little tiny mouse,
why are you in my house?
Out the back door,
there are fields aplenty.
Down by the creek,
there is water, afresh.
In the corn crib,
there is more to eat.
In the barn,
there is more to do.
Adventures abound...

Here there is only our home.
We must protect it from you.
Small mouse, get out...
of my house.
I did not invite you in,
and you are not allowed to stay.
No way!...

Every heart felt typed word I send out
to the lazy technology had become angry wine.
I don’t blame, for my one room is made
of old stained glass a tap could break.
No clever posted quotes of the dead
on books of faces will forgive the day
I slipped to green eyes someday
Silvia like -she keeps the oven door open
inhaling deep the slow kill till sleep
With each gray whisker count rises
my truth wants to stop pursuit of forever
To be honest about companionship....
