Windowpane Gain's
Saline droplet's , liquid crystal's

Salt of the earth , encountering mystical

Inner sanctum's eternal meadow

Past live's passing shuttering window's

A realm beyond the realm within'
dual nature's unite to begin.....

our views horizon into the zenith of self......

tears of suffering become tears of joy...........

Light Is Mornings Eyes
Light is mornings eyes;
and as they open, so do mine.

I watch the sun watch me through the window.
A submersed dream , floating to the surface of the water.
Just visible enough to see through hazy ripples.

My eyelashes; a pair of soldiers working on a compromise.
 Shuttering in protection.
Holding back the day;
and what's left of a dream....

Camera
Impressions once taken
by lens, eye and mind
captured now beyond time.

Pictures of friends and lovers
show death and life in the same face.
The camera lays the future bare,
a future often unrecognized.

Vision-shock awaits its appointed hour.

Without that shuttering witness
familiar faces
would fade away in a box of light
without you....

Children of the Night
The moon, fuller now
casts a ghostly glow
across the snowy landscape.

     wind whipped-
         ice cold-
         twenty below.

We are the children of the night;
no food, no shelter, no home.

Sure to die within this wilderness
in which we roam.

Our bones beg for bread-
our flesh for golden warmth

Shuttering and shivering,
abandoning all hope.

We are the children of the night....

What You Gave
What you gave was the humility
lost now in the starry universe,
dark and gray about to rain.
A circle of stars shuttering in place,
shifting from season to space,
dancing in darkness.

What you gave were these arms to
reach out and hold the world close
in an ever changing way, buoyant
and feisty, or ready to give up.
What you gave will always be alive
breathing into the surfaces of
the universe....

Adrift

Time and space closing down
Shuttering the light.
Where do people go
Whenever that is
 when present becomes past?

The things they carry with them
May just wink out like the embers of a fire at end,
Without any lingering luminescent images.

Or maybe those mirage like images linger in space,
To be carried in the mind’s eye
Of those left behind, until finally fading into the mists of time gone by....

Lurking Behind the Facade
To be spoken silently
In that unpleasant tumult
Lurking behind the facade
He does not suspect in what wild fear
He'll join with her in a fatal play
Thus he sees his life as
an outrageous fortune
Like thunder shuttering orisons
The demented contempt of a puny mind
Repudiated into self negation
And subjugated himself into an empty shell
Infused into such subjective depositions
That leaves him with no refuge...

I went to the art lecture

Because I knew it would

Be dark, and I could sit

In the back of the room

In back of all the backs

Of heads staring forward

At the slides shuttering by,

Oil strokes, cut stones

Doric spires all whispering

--This too shall pass—

Ruins.

You could still smoke in those

Rooms back then

And the plumes and gray lace

Rose to the rafters

--Like souls---

Ambivalent
I’m both painfully shy, and brazenly bold.
The push & pull of opposing natures
that form my existence.

Living my life between the lines
Cold and factual yet scattered and emotion charged,
Faltering, yet ever steady;
loyal even when in full run.

Shuttering with precision,
accurately ambiguous,
softly roaring.

A cynical romantic,
a speechless poet,
practicing an artless art.

Inside and outside I quiver in an instant....

The First Time
Secret looks, easy lies, shuttering hearts, dancing eyes.
Fearful glances, closet passion.
No name lovers, taking chances.
Simple start.
The rush of fear.
Shivering touch, warm breath upon ear.
Soft kiss to pink skin.
Facing god with a whiskey grin.
Explosion inside.
Head swims.
Dark corners scream as they
 Drip of attraction .
Just pure sensation, and physical pull.
The shadows smile for these lovers and the moment they stole....
