Seafood Boil
Baby red potatoes peeled
Fresh corn from the field
With pink shallots in the pot
Sausages add zing
Then the shrimps go in
Seasoning
Yum

Premium Member Frolic Down Under the Sea
Listen to poem:
Down under the sea it's frolic time free.
Fiddler crabs play jigs, lolling, lively lilts.
Cockles flap up to clang their symbols with glee.
Angelfish, halos askew, sing in kilts.
Octopuses play jazz in harmony.
Shrimps a dancing, rocking attune on stilts.
Anemones tentacles wave in surge,
as tide and current roll rhythms and submerge....

Crustacean Canto
Lobsters packed in eighteen-wheelers grapple with their feelings. A mass custody of shrimps spoon together still pink with passion. Crabs cross-dress bound more-or-less to nips of salty resentment. A soupçon of sea bugs dished up on bright porcelain plates. Fresh alien captives worth more alive than dead until we break bread.

I Feel Sad
I feel sad to see your state
A carcass, to be on a plate
Nature's beautiful creatures
Created in the deep blue ocean
Tailor made features
Spindle shaped, graceful motion
Lived in harmony
With your fellow beings
Large and small
Sharks and shrimps
But, in a world
where they terminate
Their own intimate
Will they ever spare you
My innocent friends!...

Premium Member Skies and Seas
Written in the sky
Twinkling star lights
Shining everyone, so bright

Points in the sky
Directing stout ships
All night and alright

The moon and its light steers
The mighty seas
To lands known and unknown

The waves are breaking
Upon many shores
It carrying shrimps, and clams

Turquoise blue sea waves
Their white foam heads
are moving smiling back at me...

On the Bus
Words

Dubai
Lumps of concrete
Set in sand

If you want to study
Marine biology
Don’t start with a tin of sardines

Capital punishment
Since we all are going to die
It is not a penalty

Shrimps are
Insects of the oceans
Why not we eat butterflies

If all life is related
Having the same origin
Aren’t we cannibals

Are surgeons
Red meat fanciers
Or vegetarians...

My Shrimp Spring Onion Roll
People love at first sight
Friends love me for my first dish
With my shrimp spring onion roll
This consists of medium-sized shrimps
Bacon, beans, ham, egg, cilantro, basil
And lastly it must be onion
Mix and wrap in a Shanghai roll
Deep fry till look brown and taken easy
Serve a bowl right away freely on the table
People are heartless when it's favorite
The dish is taken easy with a smile
Only gone swiftly not more than just few minutes....

My Low Country Boil
My Low Country Boil

Filled the cauldron, lit the gas
                                     Added shrimps, sea bass
Spices, herbs - can’t be too much
                                      And now my own touch:
                                         I pour in white wine.
                                                 All will be
                                                     Fine!...

The King Lives On the Seabed
Wrecked ships and their treasures
Surrounded by colourful fish and corals
The richest man but nobody knows him
The king lives on the seabed

His tears get mixed with the seawater
He himself doesn’t know he is crying

Fascinating knowledge from the depth of the ocean
Sharing it with his servant fish and shrimps
The most intelligent man but nobody knows him
The king lives on the seabed

His tears get mixed with the seawater
He himself doesn’t know he is crying...

Predator
Making sandwiches all complete
Taking the bread the stuff of life
and smooth on the butter soft and gold,
add the shrimp so pink and sweet
laid on the bread thirty together,
a school of them swarm across the bread,
some seafood sauce and lettuce on top.

The predator has taken a mouthful of lives
and while watching the bag of shrimps
Takes another bite and wonders
about the bread and waving fields of wheat
and if ever, like the shrimp,
it lived a conscious Life....

Your Eyes I Remember
I recalled your eyes clear and transparent
Somehow liked pool water surging in the sun
Dark green algae rising with the sunshine
Playing hide and seek with the little shrimps

I saw your eyes again many years later
The years made them no longer transparent
Colorful lights broke their calm time to time
The illusionary images looked to be so unsure

I doubt this is the scenery people pursue?
Using dust of life to darken the transparency
And so-called knowledge to prevent sincere?...
