LOW COUNTRY TREAT

Plump shrimps, potatoes and corn;

Glazed with lemon bits.

Toss fish, bay leaves on spiced boil

Dancing on  taste buds,

Low country  treat…

Reeling  mouths

Twist!

N, I send you my sincerst congra but really I must say i dont share your tastes in food......I hate all types of fish(check with Carolyn) and corn simply doesnt agree with me..as for shrimps, they are my wife's favorites, but I watch only....i cant stand all those pathetic pairs of little eyes on the plate staring up at me making me feel guilty for boiling them....ugh !....anyhow, well done young N....( .....but still ... ugh )

My taste buds leaped for joy over this one, Nette. I believe lemon brings out the dish's flavor more than anything. Do you have a Filipino derivation of this dish?Reeling mouths, twist is a fabulous ending too. Workin on an entry for your latest contest. Gwendolen

Sounds a bit like gumbo! But I guess not. that is a dish in the american south and all i know about it is that they use shrimp. Way to go on trying out the contest. I still do not know what exactly low boil is. haha. Luv, Andrea
