What must I do to just get through
To unlock a world I never knew
Closed eyes are now open wide,
Learning to love what I once despised.

Poetic form: Haiku.
Like a sunflower reaches for the sun
I reach for the light of a full moon
When no one watered me
I planted my feet in the grass
and prayed for rain
HOW DARE ME MAKE IT SOMEONE'S (RESPONSIBILITY) TO MAKE ME SMILE, BE HAPPY, OR FEEL GOOD ABOUT MYSELF.
SELF-LOVE SHOULD DO THAT ALL BY ITSELF.
little duck dawdles
looks at the pond for a face
face of white beauty
yellow feet of joy
sunshine of warmth from the sky
self growth mighty high
they fit the socket
hands out of pocket
snow cold or hail
you can oder by mail
its part of self love
to be fit as a bat
have your
WINTER CLOVES AND HATS
You can not love someone in parts
It is not fair to judge
the worst of someone new
against the best of someone in your past
And darling, that includes yourself
lately
my longing
for love
has let me go
and self love
has been found
much more relevant
to my search
for those
who will
take me as i am
or take their leave
Because I wasn't going to be treated any less than gold.
So I knew then that I had to let go
To better myself and grow
Helping me further realize, I can do this on my own.
It was silly to ever think
A summer song is what inspired the flowers
When the music stopped they still bloomed
The flowers never needed a melody
And neither do you
What if I tell you
that I've start believing
all things should come
...from a place of love
Would you say then
that all my hatred
is just a caring act
of self defense?
May we be blessed to love ourself…
and may that self-love like a bubble surround us…
because it’s easier once we love ourselves
to spread that love to everyone around us.
When you do not know just who it is that you want to be,
Now is the best time to learn to love all of which you see.
After all self-love is the only way for you to be set free.

innate,yet
heartless:
self-regard
tainted by
self-love

as he gazed at himself from the brink
Then he'd lean in to stare
at the lovely lad there
and that's how he'd wind up in the drink!
