Sometimes I hear the calling but no one's talking before me you see I am blind?

I'm allergic to most things
Especially in fall and spring
But your lies I believed
And now I live to grieve
Jesus is not my religion He's my Savior
He is not a selective man by nature
All encompassing and all inclusive
He is an act of love and not of labor
Advertise to sell
Every best side of it
Sometimes misleading attractions
And truths concealed
Varieties offered
Taste selective
And the choice is yours
No
Succumb
To adverse
Events that teach
To be more wise and selective in life

Memory has a selective ring
lets slip unpleasant things
Basks midst prism's colors, prelude to first light
discards unlit alleys, moon-less nights
Gardenia cottage is unseen by most
Built by a mushroom finger hut ghost
Deep in the blue forest, only seen by a few
She only shows herself when she thinks you are true
You told me I was wise
When I spoke of what you Taught me
But the moment I made my own truth
You stopped listening.

flaky memories
selective priority
tie up his spirit
while drifting further away
snuff out his love with distance

Symbols of purity
synonymous with love,
swans are monogamous.
Selective pairs dip heads
silently conversing;
swimming in perfect sync,
signifying their bond.
Laughter is an uncontrollable reaction
To a humorous situation or interaction
It's also selective
Some are not affected
Can't be forced it's an automatic action
Mueller Report Comprehensive
Mueller Report was said to be comprehensive;
Answer questions of those who are inquisitive;
Way to lean,
In each scene;
Certain selective things that could be sensitive.

Listen to poem:
getting
more and more
protective
particular
and selective
with my time
truth is
i refuse
to have others decide
how to squander
what I have left
life is too short
to waste
AP: Honorable Mention 2020
If I could remember
Half of what I've forgot
That sure would be something
I have forgot a lot
The older that I get
The better my life seemed
I can't tell the difference
From real and what I've dreamed

Selective and Corrective Lenses
Always for eyes are corrective lenses
So after knocked out, return to senses;
Are weird ways of looking at things
May sound horrible when someone sings;
What happens when your brain condenses?

the perfectionist
between he who does nothing
selective thoughts
The verve to serve
those we opine deserve,
surely compassion selective
though touch of love is effective
healing those who before us appear
but perhaps we should consider
that identity is not the doer
we are but God’s channel
who He does empanel
Human fate is a winnower
so selective and decisive it is
she places a few on hill tops
others she shows the valleys
the spent forces she gives plots
lazy lots she forces into gutters
as the vibrant becomes seeds
but the winnower in its work
knows all are useful offspring
Zany zealot
Fervently on fire
Enthusiastically single-minded
Fanatical and furiously frenzied
He tries to convert everyone he meets
He cannot get a job, has had twelve interviews
We cannot help him, he is a selective listener
If it does not fit with his schemata, he does not hear it
mask to mask
hidden from view
our deepest thoughts
personal feelings
mask to mask
we interact
longing to be seen
fearing to be found
mask to mask
we are hiding
we are selective
we are insecure
mask to mask
our actions
our values
our destiny
Edward Ebbs - March 14, 2019
If Love is blind,
Hate is deaf.
Unable to hear optimism and open minds.
A barrier between reality and distortion.
Truth and Humbleness blocked by the brick wall of stupidity,
A world full of envy and strife,
Selective hearing,
Picking and pruning through the good,
Just to find the bad,
Pain = Hate.
How does blindness come to be selected
As if the choice was a benefit
How does blindness become selective
As if we know what's best for us... or anyone
How can the knowing become unknown
As if creation is ours alone
How can the unknown become acceptable to the blind
When blindness was the choice
