Selective Sensitivity

I'm allergic to most things Especially in fall and spring But your lies I believed And now I live to grieve

Sara, your evocative poem well portrays the hurt and betrayal of misplaced trust. I hope your weekend is nice. :)

Thank you, Judy. There can be beauty in a garden or just nature like there can be in a relationship, but humans can really mess up nature or a garden or a relationship. Sara K

What a powerful yet short write you have here. Great Picture... I have found some people are always lying, that is what they do. Once trust is gone, it is very hard to get it back. Hugs.... Have a very blessed day writing away............

I agree, Paula. Trust is so important in any relationship from friendship to a teenage child or grandchild. Once they break the trust you have in them it is hard to repair that is if they want to repair it. Sara K

Sara B., I have had several family members who can do bold face lying and just keep on lying and everyone knows they are lying but they believe their own lies which is so sad. Thanks for dropping by. Sara K

Dear Sara, Hope you had a great weekend. The way you pivot from seasonal allergies to emotional fallout is sharp, almost offhand, which somehow makes the hurt land harder. It's realizing too late that trust has its own pollen count. Blessings, Dear Sara, Daniel

Yes, when trust is destroyed there isn't hardly anything left. Sometimes in a relationship that happens and the couple tries to make a go of it, but it is not easy on the part of the person who was betrayed. My weekend was not easy, Daniel. I had a bout of dizziness and nausea. It happens about this time of year every year or when the privet hedge blooms. Sara K
