Maple Tree

A bright maple tree,
In its glory and splendor,
A seedling full grown,
Part of God’s great workmanship,
As poetry to the eye.

A Seedling

This held, two fingered, weeness;
This infant plant, raised, with all
Its roots, soiled, dangling.
Sudden fright! A quiver-chill.
Lovely, precious, vulnerable -
The green Earth; marvelled in!

Seedling

------------------------- Seedling

           Its only a dream
           a little tiny green sprout
           waiting to take root

Aspects of the Past

That which once was and can no longer be,
a vision once seen you can no longer see.
When described as a thought, a memory,
or a seed or seedling if it is a tree.
The beginning of something the world now calls me!

Oven Baked Apple

Sometime apple pies
Run and Hide
You don't want to be eaten

Peeled apples roll around
Once a seedling
In planted in the ground
Flour, cinnamon, nutmeg other ingredients...
Mixed and placed in the oven

Seedling

A tiny seed deep in the Earth
starving for the light
Pushing hard against the soil
one day springs to life

Looking like a fragile twig
not knowing where to go
Standing still for all the world
will soon, put on a show.....

Blacktwig Seedling

The apple of your eye?
That compliment is dead.
Instead, you left me dry,
Through cored-out tears I shed.
And now the cage I call my heart,
Or perhaps a fortress, rather
Cold and in the darkness now,
For this I thank you, Father.

Seeding

Sunny days are really warming
Evening makes you become yawning
Everybody is laughing while working
Digging seed to get good cropping
Ivy poison is a dreadful thing
Needs medicine to heal your rushing
Getting ready to prepare for Thanksgiving

My Garden

Our children grow as flowers
In the garden of our lives
Their roots are firmly planted
So each fragile seedling thrives
And grows into a blossom
That stands straight, and strong, and tall
So oneday each can stretch its stem
Beyond our garden wall

Hope May Till

The beauty of a Rose…
in the heart of one who knows

That love’s a gift of time,
  both temporal and sublime

The seedling of a wish,
  future memory to enlist

That hope may till the fields
  —budding Roses to conceal

Rochester Discourse - Another Page

March 17 in eighteen sixty three
Will spin and pivot
Ancestry
As the fulcrum of this country
It is the unholy fire
Baal's tongue licking at the bones
Defied by desire
O but the ash is better balm
Then endless years
Where freedom wilts
A seedling watered by the salt of tears

V ery carefully given thought, very carefully given choice

Season of Love

Quote : Let it be love that clings to my summer vine let it be love that opens me, time after time Season Of Love Like a flower in the garden of hope I bloomed pushed out of the earth by the heat of your hand Like a seedling pressed inside secret soil I peaked, in the season of love...

Beautiful Planted Flower Dirt Around Our Soul

BEAUTIFUL PLANTED FLOWER DIRT AROUND OUR SOUL

the seedling planted
the beautiful flower comes
grows out the terrain

grows out of my heart
altogether we share this...
the dirt surrounds us

dirt surrounds us both
the beautiful flower comes
plant and I have soil

Within Gaias Tribe

From the womb life gushes forth, in hues of verdigris, red, yellow and blue. Her children leafy sentinels, two-legged, four-legged, scaled and winged; suckle from her abundant breast. We are each a Gaia-seedling, though womb waters are safe harbor for some her essence resides in all within Gaia’s tribe.

Grobag Mcginty's Rise To Power

I took a sip of water that looked like you,
I have made this so of sorceries new.

I christened words betwixt words behind,
Beyond et cetera, though within mind;

I shut my eyes and robbed today from tomorrow,
I plucked my heart from its timeless sorrow.

Then held the sky atop a fingertip bleeding,
And planted in the wound a heavenly seedling.

Peak

Minor strength holds the small seedling from the start;
Allowing it to be placed near the river.
Refreshing water wets the fertile soil’s part;
Yearly fruits fill the branches that grow faster.

Radiant zenith of triumph shines at present
On oasis of birds neath the sky fulgent.
Sought as a warm shelter or sanctuary;
Even the leaves make it an elegant tree.

A Seedling of Hope

At first, it was merely a seedling of hope, struggling hard to cope. And yet, it felt new, as it slowly grew. People proved they cared how older folks fared. The right questions asked, their tears were unmasked. Wash your hands with soap truth's a safety rope, at first, it was merely a seedling of hope. (Rhyme) 08/14/2020

Autumn

Autumn golden sunshine yawns,
Unfolds on carpet of damp lawns.
Transfix bronze leaves tumble and crumble
Under bare limbs like flickering of flames.
Mirth crisp zephyr lull games,
Nascent seedling gems burst in bundles.

Growth

Like a hurricane,
the world spins on its axis,
around and around.
Never ceases.
And I,
I see the beauty
in your soul.
Trying to escape,
like a seedling
trying to see the sun.
Show the world
your true self,
and there I'll be
waiting
with open arms
to welcome you in, dry your tears.
My darling,
Share that beauty with the world.
Teach it how to feel.

A Seedling

On some days I don’t write any,
On others I write plenty.

It depends on my day,
I have to process it and put it away.

This writer needs to write all the time,
I don’t know if it’s a flaw or by design.

I write here and I write there,
When the words come to me, it doesn’t matter where.

I have to write to get them out,
And like a seedling, a poem sprouts.

Arm's of Winter

Arms of Winter The heart of winter Blooms with the beauty Of springtime below The countenance of humanity Blooms in vibrant colors Born from goodness Nature’s seedling flourishes Inside the warmth of one’s soul As it does on the earth To you the flowers Grow upon this earth Like sunshine and waterfalls Revealing our worth Carole Cookie Arnold

Eternal Spring

A seedling stirs beneath the dawn’s embrace,
Its roots are entwined with whispers from the earth.
Each glance exchanged, a sunbeam’s fleeting trace,
Ignites the bloom of love—a second birth.
The breeze of laughter, soft, adorns the space,
While petals glow, revealing newfound worth.
A garden thrives where hearts like rivers flow,
Its blossoms are bright, eternal in their glow.
