Premium Member Any Relation To the Twins
The new kid’s name is Dallas, she is in my class.
Told to us by our sixth-grader at supper.
Yeah, I know. Houston’s sister.
I was confused now. Who is Houston?
Her brother. He is in my class.
This was reported by my fifth grader.
“Any relation to Austin or San Antonio?” my third grader asked.
Apparently twins joined his class today.
I surmised they might be related....

San Antonio
evening moon rise
I watch with the fountain,
a youth
searching for answers
who am I
what am I
where am I really?
most importantly
why am I here?

the rainbow colors of the water
make me lonelier
a lost soul
they call me

suddenly a vision
of the fountain
and the water
flowing into
the other.

oh, I am both
the water

flowing endlessly

Still lonely
and alone
beating heart

Then
I sit

blind

at least blurry

in a place

I wouldn't want you to find me

my ears are ringing

louder than my heart was singing

years ago

before I lost my senses

somewhere between Tucson and San Antonio

Now my ears are roaring

Is that my blood ?

flowing

a little colder than usual

It's so still now

still enough to remind me

pain is boring

this is good

a quiet place

where you can't hurt me anymore...

Hotel Called Ruin
WITHIN a hotel called 'ruin'
(and many other words)
there is a Soul that loves
you so much
  And in San Antonio there
is another building that
blood bled next to that place
called, "Burden Hotel."
Shall we all beg forgiveness
shall we beat the gavel with
suitcase in hand? And the
morning's fingers creep upon
the land and the shutters
snap close all because
light is like children and
tell'em to never do what
i've done within a hotel
called, 'RUIN!"
