Shampoo
Thought this up today in the shower
I can’t help but think of you as I smell your scent
You left your shampoo at my house
A daily reminder of you

Moments lost in time rain down on my skin
The soap rinses away
Thoughts of your touch remain...

Rainbows Follow the Storm....
I can smell the ion's charge the air
summertime rain,is falling near
just in time for an earthly drink
as the thunder rolls on,along the brink

Dusty steam rises off my feet
warm cool rain a special treat
rinses the sweat from a balmy day
as rainbows appear for a moments stay...

Premium Member Priorities
Only one
of my assets
qualifies
as glory crown.
Pampered hair
plumps my ego
and has drained my pockets dry.

Permanents,
dyes and rinses,
cuts and sets
salon shampoos,
never missed
hair appointments,
as if it matters at end..

Rain Ii
Rain isn't pure
as it rolls over us
and rinses away
less than it leaves.

Enchanting scents little
more than reminders
of yesterday, somewhere
other than here, now.

Seascapes we strolled
barefoot and pregnant
with ideals, rivers
we cast line upon line in

suddenly drizzle on our
graying bare heads or
running off umbrellas
among the oblivious....

fluid arc,

   gurgling of hose,

giggling of little girls, with long hair.

strawberry scent dizzies the air -

       suds are everywhere.

            waterfall rainbow rinses

youths cinnamon strands,

            chubby cheeks jiggling.

sunshine dries soaked hair

   as they continue to play

            in my fresh air memories.

Mama
Mama
The one who wipes your nose and rinses you off with a hose.
She picks you up and you drop your cup.
You make a mess and she ruined her new dress.
Your toys are left out but she never pouts.
The crying never stops until you suddenly saw rain drops.
Dad comes home to save the day and mom wants to hit the hay.
Your first word was candy because you couldn’t say Andy.
Nothing beats mamas love yet she’s as calm as a dove....

A Becoming April
Mossy thresholds open,
mud slips into small lighthouses
on the shoreline of the season.

Backyard rockpools
become repositories of sunshine.
Roots and puddles
congregate in underground weddings.
Lost towns emerge to be found.

A raining wash rinses the deep surfaces,
teases the earth ajar,
the ground surrenders to fulfill a promise,
a warming breath patches green sleeves,
plants green vowels
in the sylvan silt and the softening....

Bare Feet
Upon a summers evening treat,
Kicked off shoes and comfy seat.
Cuddled together with life’s helpmeet.

Fantasy and reality greet.
Water rinses in soothing retreat.
At the beach, memories, meet.

Burning sands and bare feet.
Along seacoasts and desert mesquite.
“Kick off shoes” was natures entreat.

Every pain soon found defeat.
Downward rolls were turned upbeat.
Our toes entwining there, bare feet.

Journey From the Sky
The fountain is opened,
The sky is rent apart,
They take their journey,
A purpose is to be fulfilled,
A mission is to be accomplished,
The journey of a raindrop,
Can't be wholly fathomed,
Its existence as an entity,
Is incomprehensible,
What we know is what we see,
What we see is what we believe,
It rinses clean the atmosphere,
It drains away the unclean substances,
Some float,
Some are deposited,
Harmful substances to an all-embracing host.
