Bare Feet

Upon a summers evening treat, Kicked off shoes and comfy seat. Cuddled together with life’s helpmeet. Fantasy and reality greet. Water rinses in soothing retreat. At the beach, memories, meet. Burning sands and bare feet. Along seacoasts and desert mesquite. “Kick off shoes” was natures entreat. Every pain soon found defeat. Downward rolls were turned upbeat. Our toes entwining there, bare feet. © June 6, 2011 Dane Ann Smith-Johnsen
