rewinds the brain
squares a round hole
ignites hidden engines...

Replays and Rewinds
It's now all in the past
A dream that did not last
The dream plays in my mind
With replays and rewinds...

Peace Life
peace life i want no strife, cause from what i see its over ripe,
casting faith as i take this stride, crashing from my high,
my mind rewinds, the path of past be too defined, so tatted to my grind,
peace life, calms these tides....

Sequence of Events
Previously seen in Opium dreams,
These scenes of Deja-Vu
Future reference balance beams
(The Present misconstrued)
In retrospect, I do reflect,
"Did I see the warning signs?"
Time is met with sheer suspect
As Life rewinds the past unkind...

Music is my therapy,

             and yet, confusion rewinds,

                       in my mind,

           dynamic notes of melancholy.

           But when ebony keys electrify,

          harmony bids darkness goodbye....

Premium Member This Longing Inside
This longing inside
Cluttered by the days
Of a long life
These clearcuttings
These forests of trees
All the leaves in the forest
Too many to see
By the shoreside
My mind rewinds
And as my body sinks
Under the waves
Calm clutter
In my mind resind
Call to the waves
War with the wind...

Roll the Tape
How quickly does time pass
  once slow-motion frames
as if in pause
with little to no fast forward
  now ache the focus in rewinds and hold;
stilled in some interlude surreal
  with wonder and awe
of life's motion-picture show,
amazement
 at the years gone
 now remembered
on the screen of life....

Was Then, Now and Always
so rigid at times,
makes me empty at times
all I say why not then
but she cuts west and south
I attention her daily
mighty is her flaming warmth
sweet in its hotness
a red lettered season!
that rewinds her smooth tunes
In my palace she dwells
even when am lost in paradise...
she calls me son still!...

Only Just Begun
"We've Only Just Begun",
A song that rewinds back,
to my childhood that I used
to listen to with mom and dad.

Sometimes on the radio
or the record player we had.
The melody would play and
I would smile real glad.

Working with people
To make a decent life,
Never acting defiant
Yet learning from my strife....

Lost In You
I Feel I've Lost The Real Me,
This Whole Time I Was Blind & Couldnt See,
Im So Caught In You I Forgot Who I Was,
But I Like It That Way Because It Was A Good Cause,
I Love The Fact You Cloud Up My Mind,
24/7 & Then It Rewinds,
I Cant Even Think Straight When Im With You,
It Feels Right In My Mind,
Theres No Way I Could Ever Leave You Behind....

Recrudescence
Stuck in a loop,
Staring into space,
Time and time again,
Making the same mistakes...

Soaring one moment,
Crashing the next;
From long conversations
To unanswered texts;

Hourglasses and pendulums,
Keepers of time,
Are stopped and restarted,
The clockwork rewinds;

Stories are rewritten,
Hearts are unfurled,
Memories fade away,
To the beginning I return....

The Past Rewinds
Overall repeatedly
In the past living
Future blurred
The trees and woods
Overwhelming
Fogging not to see
Rehearsals over and over again
Until the past wins
Seeking not to be positive
Negativity all around
Moments, up and down.

Motivated to be heard
From boldness to firm
Lessons have been learned.

Note: In an environment of negativity? Stay focused on positivity....

Premium Member Music of Times Gone By
She wanders the halls in a world of her own
lost in an era of bygone times
with faltering steps, to the day room she goes
softly humming the tune of a lullaby.

Time rewinds, she sways 'neath his youthful gaze
his deep voice whispers into her ear
her lined face shines, frail arms raise to embrace
dancing to the music only she can hear.

Walls
Memories consume me, repeatedly in my head.
Every step we took together rewinds.
How he was so cautious with everything he said.
How reserved he was in life, and when the talk of marriage came
I could see him lose his mind. The more we spoke about it the more he gave in
Until I saw a victory soon closing in. now he barely looks at me if he awakes at all we are
two strangers to share the same bed and trapped by the same walls....

Elephant
There’s an elephant in the room
He lets me know not to assume

He fast forwards, determining fate
He rewinds, finding the faulty gate

He can see me but I can’t see him
He can see the wick burning dim

I am an imposter of this person called me
I know he knows what isn’t honesty

This elephant has taken control
Hands on the reigns he has taken his toll

I lay restless upon this darkened hour
Stripped of my already lifeless power...

All the Time There Is
The frost has sunshine within it,
light shimmy’s, and the earth is lime Jell-O
Time to stand in line,
to wait upon the lark and finch
until songs arrive.

Be always in the middle of a poem;
find yourself lastly at the beginning
with no real title
just the odor of burnt paper.

This world is a time machine;
a main-spring rewinds itself,
on and on it goes, until we get off
only to reappear over there
on that far mountain
as falling snow....

Turquoise Eyes
Beneath the slumber of a summer day the tell tale signs
of a serene splashed beryl sky gone rye
Bereft of love the royal sea ingraphs me and rewinds
your turquoise eyes and misbehavin' laugh;
Those stillson jaws still haunt me many nights
with navy shades of tragic/ loss ;
How can I forget you if each time I look down
I see that tattoo on my arm (two cobalt wings of inky hue)
that never fly nor leave my side.
